“Lovely stay, lovely staff”

I stayed here on an emergency basis, I found everyone very helpful and it was a lovely stay with all the amenities they offer, it made a very stressful time, enjoyable, the property is older but I was told it is under new management and ownership and many items have been undertaken, they have put on a new roof, new parking lot and it is being made ready for a new paint job, I also checked alot of different rooms as I didnt know which part I would be more comfortable in and the rooms are spacious and remodeled, I would definately stay here again. Thanks all at Rockies for a great stay!!!!

“Bed Bugs”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 May 2008

This place is below terrible.
Room 107 was infested with bed bugs and the resultant bites.
The bathroom was moldy.
Didn't change sheets daily.
Very dingy and dank.
Management not very responsive to the complaint of the bed bugs. They did spay, but it didn't help, and left the beds damp with insecticide.
Orbitz doesn't seem to care. When we complained to them after the trip was completed, they said "you stayed the whole time. it's not our problem".
Exterior is run down. Avoid this place at all costs.

As soon the guest informed the front desk clerk of bed bugs problem in that specific room we offered another room. Guest refused, asking us to spry and do a deep cleaning. We used a professional bed bags insecticide, following all instructions for this specific problem. We throughly cleaned the room and guest stayed in the same room for 2 more nights. After their departure we received a Health Department Inspecton as a result of guest complaint. the room was throughly inspected and passed the inspection.
More then that, as soon as I received the complint from the local BBB, I finaly had the possibility to call my unhappy guest. Only in this complaint I found a telephone number for my guest.
I refunded the complete amount of charges we made on the credit card provided in the reservation we initialy received. The refund for 4 nights went back to Orbitz on July 1st,08.
I followed up we the guest and I had to call Orbitz to have them refund the guest's credit card today, July 25,2008.
This was an isolate problem, and as the guest said herself, it is a general problem in all hotels, even the expensive ones.
Our place is an old motel, with most of the rooms remodeled, and I am proud to call it Nice, Frendly and Clean.
I will always do my best to satisfy my guest.
Thank you to take the time to read my response.

“Nice Rooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 February 2008

We stayed at the Rockies Inn for approx. 2 weeks. We found our room to be spacious, clean and very quiet. The beds are very supportive and high off the floor. The bedding is equilivent to hotels where we spent 3x as much per night. We slept well every night. The bathroom is reasonably sized and has excellent towels. The Hotel is within walking distance to the Light Rail. We had no problem finding shoping, restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Downtown is a few miles to the North and The Denver tech center is just a few miles to the south of the property. We found the Hotel to be a excellent value for us; with the free internet and breakfast. The staff was friendly as well. We will be back next year!

“Very Sketchy”

This is the scariest hotel i have ever seen. When we first arrived at the hotel it was about 10am. Our other party hadnt arrived but we checked in anyway. It was dirty and the staff was semi creepy. we were in our hotel room for less then an hour. the doors had about three inches of space on the bottom and we didnt feel safe so we left. we wouldnt even leave our luggage in the room. when we came back our room reeked of smoke and there was a cigarette burn in the comforter. we left 20min later. the other group didnt even see there rooms but we were all charged for the rooms for the entire week. the staff told us that they had to kick out some customers to make room for us... uh we were the only people there besides the staff. please dont stay there... unless you want to find a place to shoot a good horror film, or you have a fetish for bacteria.

“Boy oh Boy”

I wasnt sure how I was going to rate this place. I stayed here as part of a church youth group for one night. Our first impression was horried. I do believe we would have not even got off the bus if we weren't in such a hurry to get to our concert date. The outside of this property will truly turn your stomach. It is a large property, but I think most of the rooms are unusable. We had 16 rooms. Our standard is to ask for the rooms to be close to each other. Our rooms were on all 3 floors and hundreds of feet from each other. The rooms were clean, but thats about it. Some of the windows would not lock. Some of the showers become a small trickle. The a/c worked very well but was musty smelling.
Now with all that said, I found out for a contractor doing some work on the place the following information. The people that now own the place have only had it for a short time. I believe that improvments are on the way. The resturant is undergoing some work now. Maybe they will do some work on the whole place soon.
The neighborhood does look questionable, however; one of our female members left her purse on the curb in the parking lot and it was still there at 11 pm, some 6 hours later. The breakfast was OK. Lots of danishes, juices, cakes and the like. Some bagels, toast and cold frosted flakes. The staff was extreamly nice.

Just think twice before booking here.
