This hotel was clean and located right off the expressway. The front desk service was great, very helpful with directions on places to visit, they even printed out our boarding passes for us. There is a grocery store right down the road, so you can can buy water and snacks to take to your room. Room were spacious and had a great view of the beautiful mountains.

My husband had surgery at a local hospital and during my three night stay the staff was very helpful. I used the exercise room and ate breakfast in the restaurant and took the courtesy van to the hospital. The room was clean and comfortable.

Ditto on REV regarding cigarette smoke and musty smell. I booked for three nights and was ready to leave after 3 hours in the room. Contrary to managements' response to other REV, the cigarette odor is not that from current violators but rather that nasty old lingering stale smell that permeates the carpet and drapes from years as a smoking room (the owners of this hotel have done a pitiful job in remediating prior smoking rooms to nonsmoking rooms and managements' responses that they could rectify the problem if they knew which rooms they were dealing with is frivolous as this is a obviously a wide-spread issue). In the unlikely event that management is serious about cleaning up the rooms complained off, I will respond to their responses to other negative comments here by telling them that I was in room 911.

In addition, I likewise smell the musty odor and dealt with sinus issues as the result of it. To make matters worse, the ventilation is terrible as it is on a central chilled water A/C-Heating system with low air flow - air circulation is minimal. Even on a chilly night, my room was stuffy and hot (the room has windows that can be opened a crack but that wasn't enough to bring in cooler outter air).

Although the TV is larger (probably 27"), it is apparently an older model as the picture quality is not very good.

Almost all the staff I dealt with were courteous. Location is relative to a person's needs; it is in South Denver right off I-25 and during rush hour, about 25 - 30 minutes to downtown and 10 - 15 minutes to most places in DTC (Denver Tech Center). For a smoker or others whose ability to smell and sinuses are shot, this place is probably a good value around $55, otherwise my opinion is that no matter what the price, there is limited if any value.

The southwest decorated hotel definitely has a charm to it until you get to your room. In its better years I'm sure it was a hot spot for middle class family reunions. Now a great place for low budget 50 year high school reunions. I noticed a musty smell when we got our floor. The sheet and curtains looked like they had blood stains. The elevator just never came one time. Bed was comfortable, The TV was old and the staff were friendly. Got there at 11pm and left at 7am
