“The Gregory Inn was a great place to stay for me!”

I read some of the other comments and I agree the area where the Inn is located has some diversity, but I never felt uncomfortalbe or unsafe in the area overall. I liked the diversity of the area and the fact there was a Safeway just 6-8 blocks away for shopping. The BEST part was how comfortable the bed was and how quiet it was in the Carriage House. I rented the Carriage House to have extra room and since there were two of us traveling for business. Everything about the Carriage House was comfortable; although I got the great bed in the bedroom, and my colleague slept on the pull-out couch, so I can't say how that slept. The only minor issue was the water - the bathrrom tub hot water dripped pretty steadily, but it wasn't a noisy drip, and we never did get the kitchen sink to work? Not sure why?

“Beautiful, more than I expected”

My husband & I stayed in Owen's room for a weekend getaway. Immediately upon arriving I fell in love with the Inn. These homes were beautifully renovated - they payed attention to every detail. I just loved the stone paths around the place. The room we had was large and had ammenities I've never seen at a hotel or other B&Bs. It was truly unique. They made an effort to stress comfort and relaxation.....from the oversized bedding, projection tv, to the stereo, fridge, bathtub, etc. I really felt like someone was taking care of us.

The owner and staff were great too. Stephen greated us right away and was so friendly - made us feel right at home. One day while we were gone with friends we had left our car lights on from an earlier outing. Stephen left us a note to let us know - without that we would've had a dead battery come morning. The dining area was comfortable and had a nice patio you could eat on, weather permitting. There was a nice offering of coffee with flavors, teas, etc. The breakfasts were simple, but very good and made to order. Tracy was really fun to talk to and also made us feel at home.

We had friends in Denver, so they were our guide but there were brochures throughout the lobby with a lot of information on the city and its sites. The Inn is located in a very urban area. Perhaps people not used to this would raise an eyebrow - but it looks like this part of town, like a lot of urban areas around the country, is seeing a surge in development. We had no issues with the area and had absolutely quiet nights and felt totally safe. Personally, I'm glad we had a car, but downtown is really close.

I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

“Great Accommodations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 October 2010

In Denver for a business trip, I typically would not stay at a B & B. The Gregory Inn was recommended by a friend who knew I would appreciate the proximity to downtown and Larimer Square. The inn is a beautiful brick Victorian structure with a wonderful wrap around porch for relaxing or reading surrounded by gardens and mature honey locust and cottonwood trees. When I first sat down to review my notes the ceiling fans 'mysteriously' turned on providing a cooling breeze. I then learned that the inn keeper, Steven, saw me and added the nice touch.

The room was very well appointed - lacking for nothing. The bathroom had wonderful robes, jacuzzi tub and plenty of plush towels. There is ice and bottled water in the min fridge. Free WiFi worked perfectly in the room and outside in the garden.

Breakfast is upstairs in a wonderful sun-filled room where guests can mingle and enjoy a filling meal that changes daily thanks to Tracy. In nice weather they can head outside to an adjoining deck and enjoy the start to the day in the fresh air.

Everyone at the Gregory Inn is committed to providing exemplary service in a friendly manner. You are truly welcomed into this wonderful abode and encouraged to enjoy yourself while there.

I highly recommend it for those seeking a hotel alternative at very good value and experiencing a Denver period home firsthand.

“OLD WORLD CHARM”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 September 2010

This is a wonderful b&b with old world charm but all the modern amenities needed for a relaxing experience. stayed in "kay's" room.....extremely comfortable room & luxurious bed, and even a swing on our private porch. although the building looks old, it's fairly new, it's located on a quiet neighborhood street, but within walking distance to downtown dining & shopping, and to coor's stadium. we never moved our car from check-in to check out. the breakfast was made fresh, served on our shedule, as was delicious. Stephen made us feel like family, and even let us keep our car and luggage there until 9 pm on our departure day. can't wait to return!

“Very nice stay”

I stayed at the Gregory Inn 4 nights in what is likely their cheapest room "Lori's Room". A small but suitable room for the amount of time we were there. If your stay will be longer, I'd recommend a larger room as there was no place to put a suit case or lap top computer. If you are trying to get sleep this room should not be chosen. I gets very loud on the first floor starting at six in the morning. From the chef and guests going upstairs for breakfast. The place was very clean, the staff friendly, and the owner, Steve, was nice and helpful. Note that the Inn is not in an upscale area, but isn't an overly risky neighborhood either. But, my wife and I had no problems walking around, we actually got around solely by walking or by taking the occasional cab. The breakfasts were always great. We would definitely stay there again. Definitely recommended.
