“Never stay here!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 October 2010

You should never stay here. The room was clean enough, but the place is a dump and the service was terrible. We knew it was a bad sign when the office was located in the Ramada next door. Then, there was a loud party (actually at the Ramada) that went late. We called the office twice, and they refused to do anything about it. We had to be up at 5 am the next morning, so you can imagine how excited we were about that. Stay away!!!

“standard cheap motel, a bargain for this location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 October 2010

This is a very reasonable highway-exit motel. An old property, with pool, parking lot, and reception shared with the Ramada Inn next door. The pool was closed when I was there in mid-Sept. The bed in my room was fine; the bathroom was old but functional, smelled a bit funny but everything was clean. All the usual amenities for this type of motel, and I paid $51. Pretty good for a major American city. It's 20 minutes walk to Union Station, where you can pick up the RTD light rail or the free 16th St. shuttle.

“Midnight pool parties at Knights Inn... what fun”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 August 2009

Room rates are low here, but you get what you pay for, as the cliche goes. The Knights Inn is an older rundown motel, attached to the newer nearby Ramada Gateway. In the center of the Knights Inn is an outdoor swimming pool, with key card entry but no posted time restrictions on usage. So, at least every second night, there was a pool party to keep one awake to 11 pm or midnight, with loud laughing and cursing by the partygoers (guests?). One party got busy around 3 am, so I arose and complained in person (my room's phone was out of order, of course) to the desk clerk on that one. The final insult: now, several weeks later, my credit card statement shows the hotel double-billing me for my stay. Nice touch.

“Changed Price after Reservation Confirmed”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 May 2008

person found this review helpful

Booked in December 2007 on Wyndham corporate website (Knights Inn, Ramada, etc.). Confirmed for $59 per night for August, 2008. On May 20 received a 'contract' now requesting $229 per night!! (This is for the week of the Democratic Convention, so I guess they want to kick me out for bigger spenders.) The difference for 6 nights is over $1420.00!! With the other reviews here, I'm not sure I would stay now if they paid me to. No satisfaction talking to the "Director of Operations", Ginger Richardson. It's not her fault the booking website had the wrong price (and confirmed it)!

  • Liked — Originally the price and location, until they changed it after the reservation confirmation.
  • Disliked — Not admitting their mistake and meeting the pre-agreed price.

“This place needs to be torn down”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 February 2008

The first room they gave us had no heat and it was about 30 outside. The second room was warm but had cobwebs and dirt everywhere. The beds were worn and uncomfortable. The spread had a big red stain, we decided/hoped was nail polish and not blood. We left without a shower the next morning as we were afraid of what we might catch in the tub even with socks on. We would have left but the room was prepaid with my credit card and I have heard horror stories about getting your money back. We had to put the clothes we slept in in a separate plastic bag so the smell won't contaminate the rest of the suitcase. NEVER STAY HERE!

  • Liked — convenient to highway
  • Disliked — filthy room
