“Brilliant”

We spent a total of six nights here - two at the beginning of our holiday in the States and four at the end. As has been said before, John is a perfect host and his Scottish breakfasts are super. The situation of the guest house is very good. It is filled with very interesting antiques and was probably the best B&B we have stayed in in the States - and we have stayed in quite a number! Being from the UK, we know what we are talking about when it comes to B&Bs. Very comfortable bed.... Highly recommended.

Room Tip: We were invited to view all rooms and they were all comfortable and good.

“Really great host and location”

I went to Denver on business. This B&B is really close to downtown but also in a quiet and safe neighborhood. I was only a 15 minute taxi ride from the convention center.

The breakfast was amazing. The antiques funky and cool. I really felt like I was in another era.

My host was very personable. I got sick from eating some bad food at the convention center and the host took me in his car to the hospital (which was close by) and then to Walgreens to get a prescription. He really went above and beyond the call of duty.

I have nothing but good things to stay about the John Walters Bed and Breakfast.

“i couldn't have been more satisfied!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 September 2010

i spent two nites in the "rose" suite...wonderful bed, excellent linen and towels, perfect jacuzzi bath with "PLENTY" of hot water and a delightful balcony to relax and recoup after a day of walking.
john was a perfect host-there when you needed him, but unobtrusive otherwise. he gave great advice and directions to where i wanted to go and what i wanted to see and eat!
a beautiful period home with all the amenities...within walking distance to botanical gardens, zoo, parks, molly brown's house, and basilica. and an easy bus ride to downtown.
the breakfasts in the garden were "made to order" and delicious.
the area is very interesting with many 19th century homes, some well kept, and some "converted". i had a great time studying the architecture and style of these old mansions. and i felt safe in travelling this area on foot.
i would highly recommend a stay at john walter's B &B

“A beautiful B&B with a wonderful host !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 April 2009

I have delayed in writing this review but wanted to do so before this year's travel season takes off. I want to highly recommend the John Walters House Bed and Breakfast. My stay there last year was really wonderful. The stay was in the THIRD FLOOR VACATION APARTMENT which was just incredibly well planned out, inclusive of a deck /balcony with a wonderful vista, both daytime and nightime too .
John is a truely wonderful person and was so welcoming from the moment he opened the front door .
I highly (and without reservation) recommend a stay at his wonderful B&B.
Thank you, John.

“Wonderful Step Back in Time in Denver”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 November 2008

I was in Denver for a conference, and had a great stay at the John Walters House. The rooms are beautiful, and my bed (in the Rose Room) was incredibly comfortable, with high quality sheets and a feather comforter. The B&B is about a 30 minute walk from the convention center, or a short (10 to 15 minute bus ride- the bus stop is 1 block away). I had a wonderful stay, and John is a great host. The breakfasts (included in the rates) are huge and delicious.
