My wife, dog and I decided to go on an overnight trip from the mountains to do a little shopping and dining in the Cherry Creek area, because we have a dog, our options were limited, but we found this little boutique hotel and decided to give it a try. We had a great view with a giant window on the second floor. The staff was certainly not overly welcoming, and the price we were quoted over the phone went up, but after "checking" the lady at the desk honored the quoted price. We were given 1 room key as they were running low...no big deal. The room was fairly clean, though a bit more attention to detail would have been nice. Little things like the paper holder in the bathroom hadn't been cleaned and a hair on the bathroom floor, but really not a big deal, it was overall clean and comfortable. Since we (she) wanted to get a little more shopping in the next morning, we asked for a late check out, they extended our stay by an hour, but the gentleman at the desk warned us not to be 1 minute late. With a little training, this place could be such a gem. The desk staff should be much friendlier and welcoming, making you really feel like you are in the quaint hotel this place is, not just average. The same goes for the cleaning staff...just a little more effort to make it perfect. We enjoyed breakfast in the nice little restaurant which was attached, and enjoyed it very much. If you dine at the restaurant, you get free parking in the garage, although guests pay $10 per night. All in all, we would most likely stay there again, it was reasonably priced and such an awesome location. If they would make a few little changes, and they would transform this place from a nice place to stay to a real gem we could tell everyone to stay at.
