“Nice place for a business stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

Pleasant staff, clean rooms, great FREE breakfast, in room coffee maker actually had coffee that was drinkable! I could go on, but the bottom line is this is a good place to stay. My only gripe is the beer selection at the managers reception. Free beer choice is Bud or Bud-Light, really ? How about something local to the area? Maybe Killians (Coors). I know Fat Tyre is pricey but I decided to skip the free drinks and buy something brewed locally. That's just me and it did not affect my experience.

Thank you for your comments! i was gld to read of your satisfaction with your stay. With regards to the complimentary beer, we haev tried out several different beers over the years for the Manager's reception. We have had other choices but have not had the success we have had with the Bud and the Bud Light in terms of appealing to a wide range of people. Additionally, with regards to adding micro brews, unfortunately the cost differential for local micros brews is almost 3 times a more mainstrream brew and is therefore a liitle expensive for the free stuff!!! However, I am happy to report that we will be adding a micro brew tap in order to add another draft option during "paid bar" hours. Thanks for your feedback and hope to welcome you back soon!

“Wonderful airport hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

This hotel exemplified customer service and comfort in an airport hotel. I was warmly greeted and allowed to check in early, which was a pleasant surprise. My room was comfortable and everything worked. When I went down for dinner, during the time of happy hour, my server offered me a free drink since it was still happy hour. Dinner was delicious and the server suggested a wonderful dessert. The hotel was about 4 miles from the airport so it was a quick trip to return my rental car. My only issue ( a tiny one) was a wait for hot water --when I reported this via the comment card the chief engineer wrote to me and personally reported that the problem was fixed. This hotel exemplifies customer service!

“Doesn't get any better than this”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

We were here for a 2-day business meeting, and I'd consider coming back just for some R&R.

Two things to note:

Happy Hour - 5:30 - ? offers free drinks and snacks in the lobby. Not only a fabulous sangria, but free munchies, pita and hummus, popcorn, carrots/celery and more.

Breakfast Buff - this would be a $16 breakfast if they charged for it - the big treat is the made-to-order omlette.

All the other usual things apply: friendly staff, clean rooms, excellent service.

Room Tip: Elevators are fast so I think all rooms are equal.

“When you book it says the internet is free, when you get there is isn't”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 January 2012

I decided to stay at this Embassy Suites because I usually stay at an airport hotel the night before I fly out the next morning after a business trip. When I booked the hotel using our corporate travel agent it said the internet was free, well when I got there it wasn't. The manager's reception was pretty normal for an Embassy Suites except instead of real grapefruit juice they used grapefruit juice cocktail as a mixer. If you like grapefruit juice you know what I'm talking about, if you don't think OJ vs. Orange Fanta as a mixer and you'll get the idea.

The shuttle was another thing; when I turned in my rental car they told me they would be there in 15 minutes, well it took them an hour and a half to pick me up and if I had not called them a couple of times I might still be at Hertz.

Breakfast was a standard Embassy Suites breakfast and they did have butter and of all things grapefruit juice. Why can the restaurant have grapefruit juice but the bar didn't?

By this time I had learned you need a humidifier in your room in Denver during the Fall and Winter. They brought me one within 5 minutes of my request but then the facilities guy was expecting a tip.

The shuttle to the airport was OK, no complaints here, but I was ready to leave this property.

Room Tip: The rooms all face the atrium. If you want a quieter room go for the mid to upper floors. If you w...

I was sorry to read of your dissatisfaction with your stay. I would like to respond to your concerns if I may. With regards to the internet, we do not advertise anywhere on any of our sites that the internet is free. However, there are sometimes corporate sites or other independent sites that do have misinformation and when we are made aware of these discrepancies, we do contact those companies to recify the errors. With regards to the grapefruit juice, we have not had any other guests express concerns about our mixers. However, we do value guest feeback and will continue to monitor the situation and make changes as approrpriate. Additionally, although your comments did not indicate whether you requested real grapefruit juice, we should provide it upon request. It is our culture to honor every guest request possible, and I do apologize if the bartender refused this request. Finally, I do apologize for wait at Hertz. This is not indicative of the service normally provided by our hotel. We actually pride ourselves on being the only hotel at the airport that will pick up at rental car in addition to the airport and we are typically very successful in providing this service to the satisfaction of our guests. I can assure you I will share your comments with our team. I do hope you will give us another chance to regain your confidence on your next visit to Denver.

“Not a Typical Embassy Suites”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2012

My wife and I stayed here the night before flying out to Cancun and I was surprised at the level of service. On the pick-up from the airport, we had to wait about 45 minutes and make multiple calls to the hotel to find out where they were. Unless you are elite rewards member, the internet is $15/night. The TV had a poor signal and was a bit fuzzy. The desk staff and bar staff were far from friendly and it seemed to inconvenience them to ask for anything. The rooms are somewhat like a comfort suite with a sofa and seperate bedroom. The lobby and bar area were really attractive with a mining them. If you are staying at DEN, I would suggest the Holiday Inn instead.

Room Tip: Nearly all the rooms are identical. They are very cookie cutter.
