“A few updates would really improve this hotel tremendously”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

We stayed here one night just to be close to the airport to get out early in the morning. We got the room super-cheap on priceline, so we had no real expectations. Given that, i can't say i was disappointed, but i was puzzled. It's a perfectly nice, basic, cheap airport hotel, with ancient decor, but comfortable and clean.

But why-oh-why no bedside lamp or coffee maker in the room? With the lights it was all or nothing, which was kind of frustrating, and i was unhappy to have to go out to the breakfast area in the morning to get coffee (which was terrible). Making these improvements would cost them pennies, but would markedly improve the experience.

Other thoughts: I liked that they had a fridge, but thought that their airport shuttle should run more frequently than once an hour in the mornings. Plus the full wall mirror across the whole room was kind of, well... odd.

“A 'not bad' hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

This was a booking of desperation - because of issues with flights, I booked a room here with little information on the hotel except it was 5 miles from the Denver airport, offered a free shuttle back and forth, and was slightly cheaper than the slews of hotel near it (website said $60 but the tacky booking place I called charged me $80). You have to call for your shuttle which they didn't tell at the booking place - the shuttle was there within minutes though. The front desk took two full minutes to come up to the desk after I rang the little bell. They were nice and helpful though. The room was dated but still attractive, pleasant, and clean - I particularly liked the window seat that could practically sleep a fifth person. Nice fluffy pillows. Weirdest thing was the placement of the TV (in a high corner of the room) and all of the mirrors. The wireless internet was free and very high quality. The fitness room was a joke, a broken weight machine and a broken bike - the front desk told me guests had recently "cut cables." So I was generally happy with the room and the vibe of the hotel (safe and quiet). The breakfast was definitely below average. I wasn't expecting much, but by 7am, there were only two stale bagels in the bagel tray, and the coffee had already run out.

“Not very clean but free shuttle”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

I stayed here on an overnight stop between flights back to Scotland

- Positives

Free Courtesy shuttle pick from the airport and return the next day was prompt and the drivers were friendly

The continental breakfast was better than expected - coffee- tea - bagels - fruit - etc

There is a great diner about 100 yards away get the Pie :)

Good value for 1 night and Airport stop over

- Negatives

- One of the blankest was stained

- A few tiles in the Bathroom were cracked

-The hotel in general was a bit dirty and needed some serious updating

I think with a bit of TLC this Hotel could be brought back up to a much better standard. There seems to be a lack of attention to the general cleanliness of the hotel a shame really.

“Good Snow Rest Stop”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 December 2011

Had an early morning flight and drove to the hotel the night before because of snow. The staff was doing the best they could with the weather. Booked a room with two Queen beds. It was a great deal for a low price.
The breakfast.....not so much. The offerings were weak, junk pastries, some cereal but no milk. At least the coffee was good.

“Surprisingly happy with hotel, affordable and comfortable, would recommend...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 December 2011

This is a 2-star hotel, but is very nice. It was affordable, the room I had had 2 double beds, very thick and comfortable mattresses. Room looked spacious because of wall to wall mirrors. Had a cushioned window seat that was a very nice addition. TV was still the cathode ray tube TV - so that hasn't been updated, but for a 2-star hotel, I don't expect that. TV is functional - just not the latest and greatest, if that is what you are seeking. Staff was very nice, very cordial, and very helpful. They had a business center with computer and printer for you to use. They also have free internet (don't understand how they can provide free internet and fancy hotels charge you more than $10 a day). Breakfast was not impressive though. They only had cold things - like cereal, packaged pastries, bagels, and stale bread, nothing hot. Had free shuttles to hotel that was very efficient - they make you sign up for it, and give you a call to notify you shuttle is there. Overall, a very satisfactory stay for an affordable price. Don't expect fancy stuff as this was only a 2-star, but the basics are fantastic. Would definitely recommend if you looking for a no-frills but good hotel at good price.
