“Average cheap motel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 October 2011

This place is nothing fancy. I was there for the Great American Beer Fest, so all I cared about was cheap and close to the convention center. The place is a dump, but my room was clean. In an area where a hotel room can cost 200 or 300 hundred dollars a night, you probably can't expect much for 54 dollars. It is in area frequented by prostitutes and drug dealers, keep a low profile after 10 at night. It is less than 1 mile to the convention center and you can walk if you want to (there are sidewalks all the way). It is owned by Indians or Pakistanis, if you travel frequently, you will know what to expect.

“It's baaaad...but cheap”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 September 2011

Positives -
Close to the Pepsi Center
Price
Enough hot water

Negative -
Advertised Microwave and Fridge, and had neither (although they did find us a Microwave).
Mold on ceilings.
Wiring on lamps DANGEROUS.
Charge a quarter for ice.
Bed and pillows sub standard.
A strange pair of shoes were in the closet.

We came into town for an Avalanche game, and this was the cheapest, closest property..we got what we paid for. Won't be back.

Room Tip: I doubt there is one.

“Hell NO!!”

The front desk personnel are incredibly rude, unprofessional, ill-mannered, unresponsive, and unaccommodating. The rooms are filthy, dusty, smelly, with multiple versions of bugs and when you complain you're asked to vacate on short notice. The general help does not speak english very well. It was not worth the $34.99 per night. I moved over to the Hampton Suites and Inn for $129.00 per night for quality. Would I recommend The Budget Host Inn?? Only to an enemy.

“Don't forget your socks”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 August 2011

My husband picked this hotel for the location and price. It was super close to downtown Denver and the neighborhood LoHi offers a lot of great restaurants and bars. The hotel was ok but I will think twice before staying there again. The first thing I do when entering a hotel room is check for bed bugs and they passed. We settle in and I take off my shoes and socks. After walking around for about 2 hours I notice that my feet are filthy dirty. Apparently, cleaning the carpets is pretty low on their list of priorities. Also, there was no fridge or microwave, which for a week long stay was sorely missed.

The hotel served its purpose and for $40 a night it was hard to complain. You get what you pay for but if you are ok with always wearing socks, it offers a great location.

“Perfectly average motel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 July 2011

At $39.99/night, I'm not sure what a lot of these reviewers are expecting. It's not the Ritz. It's a budget motel. That being said, it's not a bad place to stay at all and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. It's in a nice neighborhood, walking distance to Platte Street and very easy to get to the Downtown area or the freeways.

It's not as bad as a lot of these reviewers make it out to be. Just understand that you get what you pay for - this is a budget motel.
