I've stayed at one other Crowne Plaza (LAX) a couple yrs back and found it well, OK (at the time a bit dated). So I honestly wasn't expecting much in the way of being up to date as far as the room went for this location. Upon check in there was a slight discrepensey with the incidentals (my fault) but it was quickly taken care of promptly and professionally. If one is a female traveling on her own I would highly suggest this property. No one can access the guest room floors unless they have a room key. So no riff raff off the street can get up to the guest rooms. THUMBS UP! As far as my room, well I had a corner unit which suited me just fine on the 11th floor. From the window I was able to see the convention center, a water/amusement park and the mountains. How I miss the mountains! The size of the room would comfortably fit two people and had a decent sized bathroom. The general cleanliness of the room for my stay was always spot on as well as at check in. I found the bed and pillows to be quite comfortable. I usually toss and turn at night here at home but the minute my head hit the pillow I was out like a light. As for the noise some have mentioned I didn't really notice any. I would suggest that one might ask for a corner unit if available. That way you only have one room next to you and are away from the elevator. I didn't try out the restaurant during my stay but at night it seemed like a happening place for those whom I assume were staying at the hotel. Now, would I stay here again? YUPPERS! Oh yes, I forgot the hotel is also very close to all forms of public transport and walking distance to some great places to get your grub on! So all in all yes I would stay here again and highly suggest you do as well! Enjoy the stay and comfy bed!
