“A comfortable and friendly stop”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 December 2011

Having read poor reviews after making a non-refundable booking (sucked in by "The Managers Special") we were fairly nervous. However, we had a nice greeting at the desk on our arrival and our room appeared quite normal and acceptable.

Yes, the halls smell a little like smoke, our plug in the hand basin is broken and the toilet needs a fresh coat of paint, but our room was tidy and clean, with noisy but very effective heating and they had a microwave put in at our request.

I'd happily stay here again. We received excellent value for money.

“Okay if you have no sense of smell!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 October 2011

Typical Comfort Inn experience, unfortunately. Dirty carpets, spartan rooms, limited amenities. This I expect from this chain. However, the extremely strong body odor smell was the worst I have encountered since staying in European hostels years ago! It was everywhere: Lobby and dining area, corridors, and in our room. Quite the treat. To top it off, we were double charged for the room due to inexperienced staff. Drive to Cedaredge and stay at the Cedaredge Lodge instead! This place is a dive.

Room Tip: Drive to the Cedaredge Lodge and stay there instead!

“air conditioner noise”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 October 2011

Our air-conditioner needed to be replaced because it wasn't working in 90 degree heat. It was after 9 p.m. when it failed. We were told to go to another room. What! after we are all settled in already. So the clerk took the a/c unit from their own office and replaced it. That one, while it did work, sounded like a rock tumbler. Complaints were not responded to. If you want a good night's sleep, don't stay there.

“Good choice in Delta. Convenient.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 July 2011

Situated mere steps away from the City Market, and a few minutes stroll from many restaurants. Out back is a an open view affording big skies and nice sunsets, set off by a tall and noble grain silo. Arguably the best sleep in town. Delta is close to the natural attractions of Grand Mesa and the Hotchkiss National Fish hatchery.

“Front Desk Woman Sleeping on the Couch”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 July 2011

We visited this hotel for a family reunion in Delta. When we walked into the hotel we found the front desk woman sleeping on the couch in the lobby. We must have startled her because she quickly jumped up and ran behind the counter to check us in. Throughout our week long stay she had friends hanging out with her all day. Our room lacked a detailed clean (the floors were dirty, the inside cabinets had not been cleaned and the bathtub needed a good scrub.) Breakfast was mediocre. Washer and dryers are available! The location is great. It is near a rec center and you get free access to the rec center for staying there (visit the front desk for details). It is next to a grocery store, mini-golf course, museum and Main street. There is a lot to do within walking distance.
