Travelled there in February with my wife, brother and his family. Stayed in Building C Unit 303. The owner of the unit was very helpful and informative throughout the entire process.
The unit is up to date, kept immaculate, full furnishings and contained a fully stocked kitchen for evenings when you don't want to eat out. The unit was on the first floor so it was very easy to get in and out of. Walking distance from the lifts & Spa was a huge plus.

My brother travelled with a small child from San Francisco and the front desk folks located a play pen ahead of time so that he did not have to lug one around.

The town was pleasantly non-commercial. Never around a McDonalds or Starbucks the entire time. Small grocery stores within Crested butte are a short drive away.

Tons of snow when we were there and very few skiers.

Overall, we're thinking of doing it again.

We found the Chateau to be more than we bargained for (so many condo/lodgings are a bit rundown, but this one was clean and in great repair). Three bathrooms, four bedrooms, well-appointed kitchen, fireplace and plenty of seating, as well as a small balcony and great views of the awesome mountains. The location was perfect for our needs--quiet, convenient, free wifi and parking, as well as a pool and lovely pool house. We're planning to return next year.

I stayed in unit 203B during a writer's conference in Crested Butte, and I couldn't have been happier with the accommodations. The unit was clean, beautiful and yet comfortable with new appliances and nice furniture. We didn't want for anything. I will definitely go back at every opportunity. It's an excellent value for the price, and the living couldn't be more grand. (Plus everyone in Crested Butte is just so nice!)

Unit 401 Pres Weekend
Pros: Close to mountain, spacious for our fam of 6, clean.
Cons: Cheap beds, Kitchen faucet and disposal were on last leg, radient CEILING heat gave no good place dry gloves overnight, no hairdryer (front desk insisted all units had them built-in, had none to loan).
If you're looking for a place to crash on a mediocre-at-best bed, you might like the Chateaux.
