“Great snowy getaway”

We stayed at the Spruce Lodge part of Copper Mountain and it was great. Fit 5 people great in the room plenty of room to move around. We had a full kitchen with everything you need and just a few feet put the exit you were at the American flyer lift of copper mountain. Downfalls were he beds not overly comfortable and the refrigerator was by properly working in out room and things were getting to warm. Also we were to have maid service on day and desperately needed it since we didn't have trash bags and the maid didn't arrive until 430 when we were getting off the mountain and it was an uncomfortable situation her cleaning and us trying to get prepared for the evening. If you go definitely stop by Jacks and see Lefty Lucy for a wonderful fun start of the evening after spending the day on the slopes.

“Favorite Location in all of Colorado”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

My husband have been skiing in Colorado for over 20 years and have tried most every ski resort within 2-4 hours of the Denver airport. Copper Mountain has become our favorite!! so much so, that we chose it as the location for our wedding. We got married at mountain top and it could not have been more perfect!! Not as glitzy or expensive as Vail or Aspen but high quality skiing, convenient to navigate the mountain, outstanding views!!

Staying at the resort became a natural as we spent more and more time there over each of our trips. It is conveniently located right off of Interstate 70. There are multiple types of accommodations. The staff, at all levels, are extremely helpful, always!

Since the mountain is naturally arranged by level of skiing difficulty, you can often be placed in a facility that matches your abilities. There are resort based shuttle buses that can conveniently move you from one part of the mountain to the other. If you do not have a car, you can ride the free Summit stage (bus) to the nearest town,Frisco, to expand your options for shopping, restaurants, etc. There is a fitness center and pool on premises.

If you stay at the mountain, you will likely get a Secret Pass as part of your lift ticket accommodations. This pass gets you into a dedicated line that by-passes the usual line in the maze. If you are not a local, this can be a BIG value on crowded days. It also gets you early access on a couple of lifts as well so you can get first tracks if you are an early riser.

Family friendly, ski school, child care facilities and just some of the most wonderful skiing all around! If you haven't been there, you have missed something very special!

Room Tip: There is a convenience store on premises if you need groceries. There is also a large Safeway in Fri...

“Village square condos very good close to everything”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

My wife and I have recently returned from a ski trip at Copper Mountian and stayed at the Village square condos , well equipped , large enough for our needs hot tub and ski lockers and laundromat on site , skiing here is very good and must be among the best anywhere for what i would call mixed groups there are easy slopes an one side literally going up to untracked bowls for the experts all easily accessible , if i had to be picky i would say the condo we stayed in was maybe a little tired but nothing a fresh coat of paint and some varnish would not cure , we will be back no major complaints

“Good resort, nice stay”

The room was comfortable, we got it on an early season deal and it was very large for the price. It was not the four seasons, but that is not what we were looking for. We stayed in the Copper Valley Condos. They are ski in, if there is enough snow and you are lucky, walk out. It is not a bad walk, but it is not crossing the street either.
It is a terrible snow year, but I really have to take my hat off to their snow machines and staff. They did an excellent job putting down a good layer of artificial white stuff. My only complaint on the snow making is they spent a lot of time on professional training and competition terrain... It would have been nice to have at least one black for the paying customers.
The resort staff were excellent, the instructor was great with my wife and kids. The lift workers were friendly and high fived my kids. My 9 year old even got a free afternoon hot chocolate when she came in to warm up. I don't know where they get them, but really great staff.

Room Tip: If you want ski in/out, check the resort map and get one facing the lift... don't rely on what i...

“Copper is the place to ski!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 December 2011

Stayed in Copper Mountain just before Christmas and loved every moment.

Our group had an advanced boarder, first time boarder, intermediate skier and a first time skier. Everyone had a blast. The mountain is divided so every level can enjoy the peak views and not worry about not being able to get down. The runs are long and the lift lines nonexistent.

Copper has great restaurants and an intimate feel. The newly built town reminds me of an old European village. It's not crowded at all. We felt like we had the place to ourselves.

We did spend a day at Breckenridge since we were so close. What a disappointment. Copper and Breckenridge have the exact same number of lifts and runs. But, Copper blows Breck away! So glad we stayed there and not the other way around.

Suggestions:
Stay at Passage Point and get a free secret pass for early lift access. Eat at Incline and start with the chicken nachos. Race down High Point and Carefree.
