“Convenient location to attractions at good price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2011

We stayed here for several nights while on vacation. Our room was clean and spacious. I particularly liked the arrangement with the bed's headboard against our bathroom wall instead of an adjoining room. Except for the occasional slamming of those always too heavy and bulky hotel room doors, it was very quiet, even though it was peak summer travel season and the hotel was quite full. Great location right off I-25 (without the road noise) and very convenient to all the wonderful attractions in this area. Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. My favorite part was the "library", which was a separate room off the lobby with comfy, overstuffed furniture, two computers with printers, shelves of books and a homey atmosphere. Staff was pleasant and friendly. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Our recent stay at this Hampton in Colorado Springs was very nice. We liked the location for its proximity to movie theaters and Target. The staff, especially Carolyn at breakfast, were very helpful and friendly (she made us waffles!). The property was spotless.

“A Rare 5 Star Hotel Rating For Me. Just About Perfect In All Respects.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 November 2011

Stayed one night on a weekday Nov. 2011. Got a single room for $84, which I booked several months before on the net. My business associate booked his single room a few days before the stay, and got a rate of $107. The area of town this hotel is in is clean and decent, and relatively upscale. Lots of shopping and nice restaurants nearby. A Buffalo Wild Wings is right across the street, and would be a good place to have a beer without having to worry about driving.

An all around good Colo. Springs hotel (even respectable national brands) is tough to
find, because many of them are in seedy areas right off the Interstate, and if you do your homework on reviews here and other sites, you will find numerous complaints about cars getting broken into and other like issues. I checked a few reviews and pretty much rolled the dice and hoped the area would be good. It was.

This hotel was built in 2008, so it is still relatively new. The lobby/entryway/sitting area is beautiful and decorated nicely with high quality furniture/furnishings. Totally clean and of good class. The business center is more like a library than the sterile confines of most hotels, even nicer ones. They have a popcorn machine in the lobby which is nice, although I did not partake.

Check in was good, and the staff were friendly. I was asked what floor I wanted a room on (which was rare), and was given what I asked for.

The room was of decent size, and was very clean. Nice quality and modern furnishings, TV, bathroom, etc. No complaints whatsoever about the room, although a fridge and a microwave would have been a plus. The TV had a good lineup of channels, with 3 different ESPN channels, and a huge plus was they had the NFL network. My business associate and I watched a game rerun in the lobby on their big screen TV during the evening, and I appreciated having the NFL network available (which is rare for hotels). Sometimes when I travel on Thursday nights during football season, I have to leave hotels to find a bar to watch games at on the NFL network. That would not be the case at this hotel. The bed was very comfortable, with a great variety of pillows, from soft to a bit harder. I really enjoyed this.

Although the hotel is close to I-25, there were no noise issues, and the A/C unit was generally pretty quiet. The shower was excellent, with a high shower head (about 7 feet). This helps if you are a tall person.

The parking lot seemed safe, and lighting was overall adequate. I am especially senstive to parking lot security, as I carry a lot of expensive equipment in my vehicle.

The wi-fi intenet was of adequate speed. I noticed they have a wired internet connection in the room as well, although I did not try it.

The breakfast was decent, with all the usual items a hotel of this class would have. No complaints. They also have "to-go" breakfast packs in paper bags if you are in a hurry in the morning, which is a nice touch.

I travel on business at least monthly, and this is one of the best overall hotels in the mid to upper class range I have ever stayed at. As long as I can get a decent price, and the location in town I am visiting is not too far away, this will be my spot for trips to Colo. Springs until further notice.

“Nice Location”

I loved this hotel!!!! The maid service was great I always had a clean room. The rooms were clean and cozy the beds were soft and comfortable. It was easy to fall asleep. At night there are no loud disturbing noises so you can sleep. Has everything you need, a laundry mat, a small store for food (even has internet access), I always recommend to friends and family who are coming into town on a budget. A perfect location with many food choices around it. I usually don't write a review good or bad but I hope you like.

“Excellent hotel for visiting the area”

I've been a Hilton Hhonors Diamond member for 10+ years, and I've stayed in close to 50 properties of all levels around the world. I was in town specifically to see the sights one day and stay and experience The Broadmoor the next. From the Hampton Inn, we rode the Cog Railway to Pikes Peak, visited Garden of the Gods and ate dinner in Manitou Springs. The Hampton Inn was excellent in every way, and I will gladly come back for a return visit.

Room Tip: As always whenever staying near the Rockies, ask for a mountain view. It will set you in the right s...
