“Never again, overpriced DUMP in a seedy neighborhood, Not close to anything.”

Heed the POOR REVIEWS....This place is run down and NOT in a safe area. Stayed here for the price, and proximity to Balloon Festival. Only good thing, is nice front desk staff. Lobby and room smell like [--]. So if you have allergies or don't want a "pet friendly" room, this is not the place for you. Surrounding area, full of vagrants, homeless, and no decent food. Not enough parking, had to park 2 buildings away, late at night, did not feel safe for us or our car. Website for this place is not even close. We paid $72 per night, and had no fridge/no micro/no blow dryer, and a [--] smelling room. We could have stayed in a MUCH BETTER place, closer to area attractions for less. Lesson learned! Makes Super 8 and Motel 6 look like luxury!! And a note, do not stay at ANY hotel/motel on S. Nevada, or south of Garden of the Gods RD....its all run down, poor area. NEVER EVER AGAIN.....I'll drive the extra few miles to the Balloons.....

Well obviously we have a disgruntled customer here. Who chose to post negative comments about our business rather than contacting the hotel directly to alert us to what room they were in, or their name. In the editorial tradition, generally you need to put your name down in order to slander a person or business. We were full all nights of the balloon festival which is over Labor Day weekend. No one else of the 160+ persons staying here complained about these issues. I am not naïve enough to believe everyone’s stay was perfect but just pointing out this review is not representative. No one complained there are no decent places to eat anywhere near the hotel but rather many decided to walk a maximum of three blocks to eat at Acero's, Wendy's, Taco Bell, KFC, Taco Express, Subway, Conway's Family Hamburgers, Yakitori, Taste of Philly, Edelweiss, Blue Star, Keva Juice, McDonalds, Burger King, Panera Bread, Noodles and Company, Garbanzo's, Panda Express, Chipolte, Starbucks, Sushi Den, Mongolian BBQ, China Kitchen, Schlotzkey’s Deli or Broadway Deli. Apparently, this guest tried them all during their one night stay and was qualified to pass judgment that there is no decent food any where near the hotel. Not all rooms have microwave and fridges, they rented a room that did not, and saved a few dollars. This guest said they paid $72, I would point out that was likely for two or more persons and included tax so the rate on Labor Day weekend was likely around $64. As far as Super 8 and Days Inn being nicer that is subjective. We have had guests come from there to here and cautiously look at a room first only to say "Definitely!" this is more like it. With the economy where it is, larger cities everywhere are seeing more panhandlers. It is a sign of the times but as far as staying north, I have seen them there on a regular basis as well. The photos, I took them myself and they are recent and they are representative of what you will see here. If you see a photo of a studio room and rent a standard room, you will not get a studio. Thanks for you consideration. Our objective is to provide quality accommodations at an affordable rate. Bill Kenline Owner, Manager
