“OK, but just ok.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 September 2011

My room was very well appointed-king bed, loveseat, chair and small table, small desk. All very adequate for the three nights spent. At the time, they had some issues with the hot tub, but they were working on it and it was obvious that they were doing what could be done. I was a bit disappointed in the cleanliness effort made by the maid staff. It didn't appear as if the carpet had been vacuumed after my first night as a friend and I had shared some cheese and the crumbs were still there the next day after the maid had been there. Not a big deal, but maybe indicative of other shortcuts. The bed's mattress was ready for retirement as it was well worn on the side towards the bathroom (always the worse as it seems hotel so seldom rotate the mattress). The middle of the mattress was still in good shape so, that's where I slept. The a/c and the small refrigerator both worked well, but both were a bit noisy. The breakfast was ok, but nothing out of the ordinary. All in all, a fair value for a fair price. We paid $89 per night plus taxes.

“Convenient Location for Area Attractions”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 September 2011

We found the location of this hotel, just off I-25, to be very convenient for getting to area attractions. It's about midway between the Air Force Academy and US 24 which takes you to Mannitou Springs and Pike's Peak. Garden of the Gods exit is just 3 miles away.

The hotel is not large (only 4 stories) but well kept and has an indoor pool. Staff were very friendly and went out of their way to provide help, particularly during an outage of the elevator (we were on the 4th floor but didn't find the stairs a hardship). Breakfast is pretty typical for most hotels these days - waffles, pastries, yogurt, breakfast sandwiches, cereals, juice, etc. A good variety for jut a two-night stay.

Dining options are available by just walking across the parking lot to Ruby Tuesday & Outback Steak House and a few more steps to Old Chicago and Hooters. Carrabba's is on the other side of I-25.

Access to I-25 was convenient as was a gas station right in front of the hotel. As with any hotel near an interstate, there can be noise but I was not bothered by it and I'm a light sleeper!

Would definitely stay here again if in the Colorado Springs area.

“Relaxing!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2011

This motel is very clean and comfortable. The rates we got were very pleasing and the mountain view is nice...very nice! We stayed three nights and they treated us so respectfully and were very helpful with any questions.

Room Tip: The bed is very comfortable and air conditioning worked quietly and well.

“Great place to stay!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2011

I stayed at this hotel for a few nights in August with my daughter. It had a great location near I25 and it was next to a gas station and TGI Friday's. The hotel was clean and comfortable. They had a good breakfast selection (breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, fruit cups, etc.), and it was well stocked. The pool is a little small, but it seemed clean and well maintained. I would definately stay here again. I only had a few minor complaints. The parking lot is small so it can be hard at times to get a good spot. The employees stand outside the front door and smoke a lot, so you often have to walk through cigarette smoke when you go in the front door. The front door doesn't automatically open so it can be tricky if you bring in lots of luggage-especially on a luggage cart. Overall it was a great experience staying here, and I will stay here again.
