As a result of some work being done at our home, my boys decided to stay at this hotel (at their own hard earned expense) versus sleeping on the floor at the neighbors house. During their stay, they were locked out of their room (bolt latch on inside of door flipped closed after shutting the door therefore they were unable to re-enter their room). They informed the front desk at which time they were told there was no maintenance man on site at the time and they would have to wait until 5:30 in the morning. At 5:30, no maintenance man arrived. The boys again contact the front desk and were told that the maintenance man would not arrive until 9:00 am. The boys were unable to enter their room and retrieve their belongings until after 9:00 am. Although the staff put them in a room across the hall, they were unable to enjoy their stay as they could not access their swimsuites, sony playstation, pajamas, etc. When I called the hotel to inquire as to whether or not they would refund some of the boys money, I was told to leave a voice message for the Manager as he was not in. I left a voice message and my call was returned promptly however I was told by the Manager explicitly, "I already gave them two rooms for the price of one." He also accused my boys of slamming the door therefore causing them to be locked out. This is an unacceptable answer and although my boys were given another room to stay in, they were greatly inconvenienced during their stay. I would not recommend this hotel and will never occupy a Comfort Suites again, not because of the inconvenience, but because of the way the way the hotel manager refused to negotiate a discount for the boys inconvenience and his accusatory tone. He even went so far as to try to describe a door latch to me like I was some kind of idiot.
