“Not a Hotel, but a Motel.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 November 2009

If this property did not have the familiar "sun" logo of the Days franchise, I would have not stayed here. But in this case, I followed the sun to a place that is not the typical standard of the Days Inn brand. Just because they have the Days sign out front, throw an old computer in the corner (business center?) and offer a "complimentary continental" breakfast, doesn't make this a true Days. Keep in mind that this is not a hotel, but a motel. Direct access units are average at the best. The beds are worn and uncomfortable (though it appears there may be an effort to replace mattresses since there is a container in the park lot with old mattresses in it). The unit decor is typical of late 1980s/early 1990s and doesn't appear to have experienced many upgrades, not even with the linen. Thought I did not find stains or much in the case of dirt, this is one of those places that you're suspicious of everything being dirty. One of my colleagues decided to opt out of staying in a room by herself because she felt the hotel was "unpleasant and seedy" so she ended up rooming with another colleague of ours. 1 out of the 3 units had unpleasant odours. Cigarette smoke periodically creped into my "non-smoking" room. This is a one of those places that makes you thankfully for your last hotel stay or your own bed at home. If I was returning to the Colorado Springs area, I would let the sun set on this property and find another place to lay my head.

“Don't stay here.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 November 2009

The furniture was stained, the walls were scuffed, the sink was scratched and peeling. There was a desk with no chair. The pillows were hard. The curtain was thin, so the room was bright all night long. The neighbors were sometimes loud. It's cheap, so I guess you get what you pay for. But I will definitely stay in a different hotel next time I'm in Colorado Springs.

“Avoid this place at all cost”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 June 2009

We stayed here to avoid the 2 hour drive back and forth to a Saturday and Sunday race at Aztec Raceway. I would have rather spent the drive and the 5 am wake up then stay here again.
Our first room's electronic lock did not work. This was after we unloaded a full car. We moved to a second room that we could actually get into. It was a nightmare to say the least. First thing was to take a shower after a long day at the track. I went to lift the toilet seat to find dried urine on top and underneath. I used one of their towels to wipe it down with some sanitizer we had packed. The rest of the bathroom was disgusting as well. Dirty floor boards and floor. I was scared to walk around barefoot. Also, the free internet was completely overloaded and was impossible to open a page. My boyfriend was very upset by then so he called the front desk to complain about the urine and the internet. She offered to switch us to a third room. We couldn't do it due to how much racing gear we would have to move yet again. He did say he wanted something done by the time he checked out in the morning.
Once we made it to bed that night we realized how terrible the beds were too. Small, lumpy, flat pillows, and bars sticking out from underneath. I hit it when I got up a one point. I felt like I was in a prostitute house during the course of the night. Women in heels walking up and down the halls, people slamming doors. I could have sworn at one point someone was messing with our door handle. I was too scared to get up and peek out the window.
Overall, this was by far the worst place I have ever been too. This place should be shut down. Please if you are looking at this location do not stay here. Its just not right!!!

We have just returned from a day at Days Inn Colorado Spring hotel that is located at Eat Pike Peak, Colorado Springs, Colorado. This is the worse hotel we have never been experience in our life such as terrible services, stink, toilet did not work, lights could not turn on, molds inside the bathroom (on the ceiling), and leaking. This hotel should not been in the service at all and needs to check by Health Department of Colorado.
I took some pictures and will share with you guys as soon they are developed.

“Trashy rooms”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 September 2007

We decided to stay at the Days Inn due to the close proximity of the balloon rally at Memorial park. First of all there was some mix up with our online reservations and they had us reserved for a smoking room when neither one of us smoke and we had our 7 year old daughter with us. They said they could do nothing for us even though there were only seven cars in the parking lot. The staff was very unfriendly. The room had an old yellowed bedspread on an old mattress you could feel the coils through the top. The carpet had a large rip in it and the front door had been kicked in and not replaced. The bathtub ran water all the time. The second night after seeing housekeeping pull a cot out of a room we decided to get one for our daughter to sleep on. We called the front desk and they said that they don't have any. After we told them that we saw one out on the sidewalk, they decided to let us use it for ten dollars a night. After my experience at this hotel, I will never stay at another Days Inn again!!!
