“Details matter - at the price charged”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

We have stayed at this hotel several times in the last year. It is an expensive place. They charge for wifi - for each device - not a competitive approach to business these days.

With some "negotiation" they waived that fee as my wife and I each have wireless devices we use.

The maintenance of this hotel is beginning to need attention. We have had 3 coffee makers ( the type that make two individual cups) and NONE of them have worked correctly. They make small cups - if at all, and spill water. A dresser/tv stand in the living room has a handle completely missing on one of the drawers. Chairs are beginning to wear and visibly show it. The chair that is intended to be used for computer use on the table in the living room does not allow adjustment to the proper height.... the fixed chair is closer.

For the price paid, this hotel is in need of changes to become competitive. There are lots of hotels in this part of Colorado Springs and they offer better value and quality than this one does.

Room Tip: On a cold day avoid the corner rooms.... extra window adds heat loss and heating system cannot maint...

“Superb!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 January 2012

This is an outstanding hotel. The staff welcomed us at check in, the rooms were clean, the bedding was very nice and comfy. The continental breakfast was wonderful with made-to-order omelettes, pancakes (with blueberries or chocolate chips available) and the rest of the usual stuff. Room service was prompt and fresh. The atrium and fireplace just off the lobby give it a warm feel. A mountain view room offers a great view of the Front Range. Kids loved the pool. I used to live in the Springs and booked many events at this hotel for the company I worked for nearby. It was nice to finally enjoy time staying in the hotel myself!

Room Tip: Mountain view rooms are a must. Majestic Pikes Peak awaits you!

“Most Excellent!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 January 2012

Ten thumbs up! I was treated so well, that it put 5 star hotels overseas to shame. Complimentary breakfast...Excellent. Managers reception...Excellent. Stop by and see Vivian and Joe at the Polo Club, they will do you right. Beds and pillows...Excellent. I am going back in the summer to visit my brother and I will most definatly stay at the Embassy Suites again. Incredible hotel experience!

“Great Visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2011

My son and his family live in Colorado Springs and my wife and myself wanted to visit with them before the holidays. This visit was very enjoyable and the staff were great. I stay in Hilton Hotels over 100 nights a year and this was an excellent stay.

“Poor Amenities”

I normally support the Hilton Family Hotels. This recent stay at the Embassy Suites was an average stay. Embassy is know for their order to cook breakfast and evening cocktails with snacks. These were the worst snacks I've seen in a very long time.
