First stay at this property, but have stayed at many Residence Inn properties over the years. Located across the street from Hampton Inn and Suites, but no restaurants or shops within walking distance. Check -in was efficient and friendly. Appreciated the free local papers on hand, in addition standard USA Today. No evening "manager's reception" as they only have it 3 days a week. Room was set up as expected, with a few nice touches: extra towels and kitchen towels were folded into swan heart shapes (maybe due to upcoming holiday?). Interesting, although there were plenty of towels, they were of greatly varying types and qualities. Some were cheap, thinner ones, some had a Hyatt label (?) and some were very nice, high-end, labeled "Made in Israel." types. No standard book in room that gives you info about the area, hotel info, etc. Not an issue for me, as I stay in so many of these. Good sized TV in living room area; standard in bedroom. Bedroom was tight; very narrow around the bed. If a large person happened to be in the room, I think they would have trouble getting around. Not an issue for me. Bed was comfortable and room was quiet. Breakfast was standard and adequate. Noticed folks packing lunchboxes/coolers with food from breakfast area. They may wish to deal with that to keep costs under control. Problem with smokers near the front door. Had to walk through a nasty haze to get inside. Need to move smoking area farther away from main door. Other major negative was wet dog smell in elevator, left by a wet dog we had to ride with. Very unpleasant and problematic for person w/dog allergies. If they can fix the smoking and dog issues, I'd stay here again if I need to be on the north end of town and/or near the Acadmey.
