This was the site of the most Horrifying hotel experience I have EVER had. And I used to work in the travel industry, therefore have had the pleasure of lots of different hotel experiences.
My husband and I traveled thru Denver and booked a room thru an internet site and got a room at this location. We arrived at our hotel and had to wait for a bit to be checked in, there was police officers in the lobby speaking with a couple about entering unit that was unkempt/unsafe and had a young child in it. Great.
The man behind the desk ran up and checked our room to make sure it was ready. We got checked in and proceeded to our room. We were HORRIFIED when we got in there. The room was DIRTY to say the least. There was spit in the sink, the towels had dirty spots where someone had dried their hands on them. I pulled back the sheets and they were dirty! There were stains on the sheets (you get my drift?) and hair there too.
We went down stairs to get moved to another room. The man behind the counter once again ran to go check the room. He came back and told us it was ready, but we had to bring our own towels up. He handed unfolded towels from the cart behind him and proceeded to give us our room key. We went to our room on the other side of the hotel and had to go past the laundryroom. We peeked in and saw leftover food all over the folding tables and the trash wsa literally overflowing the trash can. We shook our heads and continued across the hall to our room. The key didnt work so my husband had to go back down to the desk and get it fixed. We went into the room and at first it was okay. I went to the bed and pulled back the bedding. There was blood stain on the sheets and still imppression of someones head in the pillow. THAT WAS IT! I was in tears at this point, we had been driving for about 15 hours and all we wanted was a clean bed to rest in for the night.
We went back downstairs to tell the front desk we were leaving and how gross the rooms were. The man behind the counter stuttered and stammered about how that had NEVER happened before, just as another couple came around the corner angry about the dirty room they were just sent to also!
I contacted the company directly and told them of our experience. I was called a day later by a manager named Dot (?) who said she was the regional manager and profusely appologized and went on about how that is not how the company usually is and went on about how she already knew what had gone on and such. She told us that we had a complimentary stay at any of the hotels in the family they manage.
Well, now I have contacted the company 2x about our "complimentary" stay and not once have I gotten a response. I leave voice mails, and no one calls back. Not surprising after the quality of the hour long "stay" we experienced at the hotel.
Stay here at your own risk. And make sure your Hepetitis shots are up to date....
