We found that the floor/carpet beside the bed closest to the exterior wall was wet; upon mopping it up with a clean towel, we saw that it was a yellow liquid that smelled of urine. We found a 'dog tag' from a previous resident on the floor. The clerk at check out had no idea how to produce or supply a 'folio receipt' detailing our charges (room, tax, phone, etc.) and payments, and neither did her manager. They promised to send us one, but after 12 days, it's not here yet. The best she could do was give us a 'direct bill' with no detail and incorrect arithmetic!!

Recently stayed at this Econo Lodge for 5 nights while enjoying the attractions in the Colorado Springs area. The staff was responsive and friendly. Our room was always in tip-top shape when arriving back after a day of sightseeing. Rooms were quiet...slept like a baby. Would not hesitate to stay at this motel again! BTW, there are no bars on the windows as a previous review had stated. The adult entertaining facility across the street is totally a non-issue. You probably wouldn't even know it's there if it had not been mentioned in some previous reviews.

This is a great hotel!! Great service, very friendly!! Family owned & ran. Rooms are always clean. Breakfast is great. My boys love the waffles, hard boiled eggs, fruit, & pastries for breakfast. We always enjoy the indoor pool also. Always clean. At first the neighborhood will scare you, but I have never had a problem with the area. Never even see anyone outside the "adult" businesses across the street. Recommend it to everyone.

Because of an airforce reunion, there were no vacancy's at any other hotels, so my family and I had no other choice but to stay here. The outside of the hotel is frightening. There are BARS on the windows, and it is unkept. The second we stepped into our room we wanted to leave. My family got the suite, and it was anything but sweet. The two queen beds smelled of urine and there was hardly any place to sit down. We found over six quarter size spiders in the bathroom and the bedding was itchy. The air conditioning didn't work, but the manager quickly fixed that. The pool was the size of a large bathtub and had a maximum capacity of twelve. After a weary nights sleep, my family was up and ready to leave the second we could. But while packing up all of are things, we were startled by a young man who opened our hotel room. He was NOT the maid service, but somehow had recieved a key to our room. My family and i quickly left and would never, EVER under any circumstances return to this hotel.
