“Nice hotel, convenient to Colorado College and GOTG”

I took a trip with my son to visit Colorado College over Veteran's Day weekend. Hyatt Place is not listed on the accommodations list for CC for some reason but after pricing the ones they did have listed I decided to bid on one instead. I'm so glad I did. This was two or three exits up, which was roughly 8 minutes away. Easy peezy. I really like this property. The staff was super friendly. I was happy to have the nice, clean beds to sleep in and the "living room" space to hang out in and knit and watch TV while my son did an overnight on campus. Breakfast is just OK but the coffee is good, as well as the coffee in the rooms. I made use of the computers in the business center A LOT since I found out that financial aid forms were due right when we got home. There is a Black Eyed Pea off the parking lot so I was able to eat there affordably one night ($2.50 margaritas) and get to bed early. (2 hour time difference, I was exhausted). I like the set up, except you can't use the sink area in the morning without disturbing a sleeping teenager. Other than that, I'd stay there again for sure.

Great hotel, they keep it simple. Price was right, rooms were modern and large. Stayed here as a stop over to a resort, wish we would have just stayed at the Hyatt instead.

“A Great Find”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 November 2011

This hotel is very close to the interstate but we were accommodated as requested on the fourth floor at the rear. The view of Pikes Peak from the wide window was magnificent and during our weekend stay we were always drawn to that view.

The room is spacious with very comfortable bed and a spacious seating area with large flat screen televsion. There is also a convenient desk area and internet access is not an extra charge.

The rate includes a continental breakfast with plenty of choice and includes fresh fruit and Starbuck's coffee. The breakfast area is small but we always managed to get a table.

The hotel is well placed for visiting Garden of the Gods, a very impressive natural reserve.
This was our first experience of the Hyatt Place brand and we shall certainly use it again

Room Tip: Request a mountain view on the fourth floor. This is away from the interstate and is quiet.

“Good stopover close to I25”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 November 2011

This is the second Hyatt Place we stayed in on this trip. I have to say this one wasn't quite as nice as the one in Florence KY but it was comfortable none the less. Check in was fine although they weren't able to give us a King bed so 2 doubles it was. Hotel is right next to the highway but our room was at the far end of the hotel so noise was not an issue. We wanted to park our car at the back of the hotel near our room but the lights round there did not seem to be working so we parked at the front. I like the food options they have for a quick bite, very convenient. Overall a good stay and we got a great deal on Priceline.

Room Tip: Ask for room away from the freeway.

“Our favorite place to stay in Colorado Springs”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 November 2011

We love staying at the Hyatt Place in Colorado Springs because of the location, the quality, and the price. The rooms are very well done, ours was a king with a pull out sofa. The roomos are equipped with wireless internet, flat screen tvs with input panels. The rates are great, and the service is excellent. You get a fantastic breakfast in a really nice setting. If you decide to venture a little farther, you will find many options from a full grocery store to fast food, or nice sit-down restaurants. The hotel is just far enough off interstate 25 to avoid the traffic noise, but still close enough to get on and off easily.
