“What a mistake”

I needed a quick cheap place to lay my head for the nite while going through on business! Boy i wish i had've sprung for the extra cash or found another place! I'm writing this review from the room right now and from first impression it was dodgy! My first room smelled like it was a hotel for cats and dogs.....to the owner/managers credit he did move me but in all I feel very unsafe and wish I had read the reviews before booking. Im not even game to peel back the bedding. I think I'll just sleep on top. If you are smarter than me then please read the reviews before booking here. I feel like i could walk out to the street and find anything i wanna find if you know what I mean.......STAY AWAY!

“OUR NIGHTMARE VACATION!”

Not a clean or safe to stay, high crime area. Should have been warned. Just passing through on way to resort, belongings stolen from car. Desk clerk should have warned us, the police did when we filed our theft report. Room was dirty -wet towls left in closet from last guest, bedding not the cleanest either.

“What a great place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 October 2010

Although this is a somewhat older hotel the hotel and the rooms have been updated and are very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful with information about the area. The Wi-fi is free and the signal was excellent. Many of the rooms even have a little porch and chair outside which makes for a very nice place to enjoy the evening. The rates offer an excellent value for good accomodations in a safe area.

“Mildew, black feet, and bug guts”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 August 2009

The bathtub had mildew. The room had a little window unit that had to be 10 years old that was not nearly enough. The neighborhood was very scary and I work in downtown New Orleans! Walking from the tub to the bed left my feet filthy! The carpet was just that dirty. Someone had smashed a bug on the wall and the desk clerk said it had not been cleaned because of the bug was lucky!! The scratchy little blanket had hair in it. THe sheets were see-through and stained. There were so many great places to stay in Co. Springs, but this dump needs to be closed down. The "fitness center" was a treadmill in a deserted old room. WIFI was so slow as to be ridiculous. The pool had lawn chairs in it. We could not get a refund and still moved to another hotel for the remainder of our stay. I would not go back there for FREE. I do recommend the PIKE"S PEAK INN!
