“I would not stay here even if I were homeless.”

My husband and I got transfered here from Schofield Barracks in Hawaii to Ft. Carson, Colorado. The inn on base was full. They recommended Apallo Suites. It seemed nice from the outside. There were squirrels running about, being from Hawaii, squirrels are a novelty.
As we got in the building, we had a bad feeling. There were questionable looking people hanging around outside their doors not really doing anything. They looked like they were on drugs and dealing them as well. There was also an unusual amount of unattended toddlers running around the parking lot and other various places. When we opened the door to our hallway, you were hit with a grotesque smell of crappy marajuana and harsh cleaning materials topped with public bathroom air sanitizer.
The room was much worse. In the middle of the hallway was a bucket with a calking gun and a dirty rag. On the inside of the door there was obvious fire damage. The door had two deadbolts and a sliding lock. The carpets were pulled up in places, the walls were dirty and the heating unit had been broken apart. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. It looked and felt old and grimy. The couch did as well. The bathroom was disgusting. The toilet and tub were filthy. I thought i was being too critical, but when my husband and i sat down on the couch and started watching tv, we both started to itch badly. We immediatly started looking for another place to stay.
The fact that this place was army recommended is increadibly disapointing. It was obviously a place that was dangerous. I expected to find a used condom and a chalk outline somewhere in the room. I would not reccomend this place to anyone, even if i hated them.

Room Tip: There is no good room here

The reviewer did not stay at our hotel. They viewed a room that was being worked on by our maintenance staff and therefore vacant. We have been proud to offer clean and affordable accommodations to countless military families throughout the years. Due to our excellent reputation on Ft. Carson, we will continue to do so long into the future!

“Best Value in Town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 December 2011 via mobile

I have stayed at Apollo Park Executive Suites several times. My stay always feels like a home away from home. The rooms are fully equipped, clean, quiet, and enjoy great views. The staff is very professional and friendly. It's centrally located which makes sight seeing in Colorado Springs very convenient. The rates are also very reasonable. I would definately recommend Apollo Park to all my friends and family.

“A Great Weekend”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 November 2011

Easy access to Colorado Springs. Friendly staff. Quiet, clean rooms and halls. Safe location. Excellent pricing - especially considering how much having a kitchen saved the family on snacks and meals! I thought it was a great stay and would recoomend it to anyone.

“Just no...”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 October 2011

I was set up to stay here for about three weeks, but I left after one night. Here's why:

- Hookers coming and going all night. As another reviewer said-- bad neighborhood. Most houses nearby had bars on the windows.
- Someone vacuuming upstairs at three (!!!) in the morning. It was wonderful only getting two hours of sleep before my first day on-site for a my job.
- Parking sucked. At least my rental car didn't get stolen.
- Dirty, smelly, older room. There was a warning sign in the bathroom saying that if any water got on the floor it would cave in and I would be held liable.
- Only one of the door locks worked, and no restricted access to the "suites." Considering I was in town for business for three weeks I had quite a bit of valuable stuff in there that I really didn't feel comfortable leaving there.
- Thin walls, thin ceilings/floors. You can hear EVERYTHING that happens anywhere nearby.

Staying here was the first time in my life where I felt like it was necessary to sleep (for an hour or two) with all of my clothes on and a loaded gun under my pillow.

That said-- never again.

“Great place, great price!”

The room was very clean and we loved that it had a kitchen! The office staff were helpful and friendly and the maids were attentive to our needs. We were close to all the attractions, shopping, restaurants, and next door to a golf course. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. We got a lot for our money and we will be back!
