“Well worth the money spent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

My wife and I stayed at the Rainbow, this past Labor Day weekend. We had not stayed there in over 20 years when our kids were young. Wow, what a great choice. The family that runs the Rainbow, really make you feel at home. Next we want to bring our kids and grandkids. It would be a great place for a reunion

“Good Choice”

This motel was a great choice. We searched online for a place to stay overnight so that we'd be in the area for an early train ride up to Pike's Peak. We definitely made the right choice! Clean, spacious room and excellent hospitality. The location is central to the majority of area attractions. Rainbow Motel will be my first choice for accommodations when in the area again.

“great find”

We had reservations at the Dillon Motel, just up the street. Checked in there but the room was a total dive, reeking of urine and very run down. Luckily they let us out of our reservation and our search turned up the Rainbow, what a relief. Clean, well kept, the same price and a nice little continental breakfast. It is really in Manitou Springs more so than Colorado Springs and it doesn't come up in the Manitou lodging search and I thnk that hurts their business.

Great place all around and within an easy walk from Amanda's Fonda, a fun and good place for dinner.

“Great place to stay - will return next August”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 August 2011

This was a second stay at the Rainbow Motel. Service was excellent as it was during our first stay. Room was clean and tidy and very home like. Owners and housekeeping crew are friendly. Location is great and a good view of Pikes Peak.

“Very Disapointed, Had to Relocate”

Several months before our weekend stay our Girl Scout troop was offered a great deal at this motel, for two suites that sleep 6 with kitchenettes for our group of 12 people, which we reserved. When we arrived we were given two ordinary rooms with two beds each to sleep 8, and no kitchens. They did offer us one cot for each small room, but that still would have left two people sleeping where? It created a very stressful couple hours as we had to find other accomidations, and were then late for a planned and pre-paid dinner event. They were very rude as well and did not want to give us a full refund at first. Very disapointed.

I represent the Rainbow Motel. First of all you made your reservation for early June and pleaded with us to give you the best economy rate for your girls scout troop. At that time we gave you the very best rate we could, considering the fact that it was early into the season, to accomodate your group. Later on you changed your reservation to late July where those units were no longer available but you were given an option with smaller units but we would still give you the off season price, because of the girls scouts. I dont know how were you planning to fit 12 scouts into 2 double size rooms ( simple mathemathic would not allow it unless you thought the room would be bigger and some of them could sleep on the floor in the sleeping bags). Nobody was rude to you because we are not in the busines to be rude and also our reputation precede us with our customers ( thats why we have growing number of returning
customers). Your comments are very our of place and unjust. You were very rude and unprofesional, setting bad example for your girls scouts.
