Enjoyed our stay. Room met our needs and breakfast was enjoyed with hosts and other guests. We would recommend to all.

We are a couple who like to have a lot of rest during their trips. This one wasnt different. Colorado Springs trip from Denver is a day trip for most people. But we took it easy and made it 2 days. We stayed at this nice quaint place.

Leo and Joyce who manage this place are the friendliest people. It helps that Leo is originally from a farm in Kansas. We stayed in Victoria rose, a room with a four poster bed and old-fashioned rest and leisure. Room was clean, the bed luxurious and the house totally out of a picture postcard.

The sleep on that bed.. it was the best sleep we had in a long time!

We were given a 3 course breakfast with fruit, oat porridge and cake. it was delicious. Everyone is given their own key to the property. We managed to lock ourselves out. But leo and joyce were good enough to come back from their own trip and help us out.

If you are a lawyer, have business with an oil company, or just love America in general, you won't like this place. I'm not either of the first two, but I do love America, and the owner bashes them all. This is unlike any B&B I've ever been too. All visitors are invited to sit around the breakfast table at a pre-set time (one time only) and it ends up being a debate about the world problems. I enjoy B&Bs when people are coming and going during a certain time period for breakfast; casual chit-chat about where people are from, etc. But I do not like being forced to sit around with people I may disagree with and have to have a discussion about major issues. And the food wasn't even worth it!

I enjoyed my stay at Spurs and Lace B&B. Although very close to the downtown shopping area, it is very quiet at night. The bed was comfortable and I slept well, surrounded by the rustic charm of the Colorado in the 1800s. The hosts offer a good deal of privacy to their guests. I like what Joyce said upon my arrival. She said, "Think of this as your home away from home." They make it feel kind-of like that.

Leo and Joyce are warm and friendly, and offer a nice and very filling breakfasts. There is good comraderie and conversation at the breakfast table because Leo gets the conversation started. He's a very interesting fellow. Joyce is a gem. It's nice to see a couple who smile often and enjoy what they do. I would stay there again.
