Check in and check out were a no-hassle breeze. Service was fabulous. The woman at the front desk directed me to the ideal restaurant to keep a five-year-old happy. Downtown Canon City was within an easy and relaxing walking distance. And the location directly across from the Royal Gorge Train Depot was perfection. The room was hot and stuffy when we arrive, but it cooled down beautifuly with the fresh night time air. And it was spotlessly clean. The only minor drawback was the pool area. . . it was a little dated, and a tad over-chlorinated. . .but it was a happy way place for a little kid!

We were greeted with weeds out front. The lobby smelled funny and was tattered and poorly decorated. Our room was just barely clean enough to be okay. It was so worn out. However, on the plus side, the beds were good and the desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. We would not stay here again.

I read the review too late booked via phone. My bad!! Had to get new sheets, sink wouldnt drain, toilet plugged, service so-so, room was dirty walls gross eww! Dont do it, especially when the Hampton inn is down the street for $20 more. Stayed there earlier in the week and it was clean decent breakfast.

I don't mind securing a room with a credit or debit card but when we tell them we will be paying cash for the room we expect to have our card credited right away. When we returned home and checked our bank account, I noticed it still had not been credited. I called them directly and was told it could take up to 14 days! Didn't have this problem anywhere else we stayed! They even charged our card 15% more than the actual price of the room!
