I haven't stayed at a Super 8 for a while and I won't anytime soon. The folks behind the desk were nice enough but the room was threadbare and hot. I feel that I paid more by booking in advance online. Luckily, we left early in the morning to go rafting. The breakfast buffet included english muffins and tiny little baked muffins in cellophane wrappers.

This motel is at nice location ,on thw main road to royal gorge.Rooms are pretty nice with fridge,microwave.Would go again.

We had spent the day visiting Royal Gorge, which was sort of a disappointment in itself. It's an expensive place to visit, even though you do get a tram ride and railway ride included. Kind of cheesy--tacky tourist attraction.

The Super 8 was loaded with unruly guests. I really dislike it when motels let families of 8 or 9 people camp out in two adjoining rooms. These people left their doors open and yelled to each other from room to room, while their kids made even more noise.

The room was clean, but the AC didn't work so well. Breakfast was terrible. They would have been better off with fresh fruit and toast. The little muffins they offered were gross, as were the two sad cereal choices. We'd have loved to have had bananas on peanut butter toast, what we normally do in motel breakfast rooms.

The setting is depressing, next to some closed businesses. There's no pool.

Check-in folks were friendly, but we should have paid 20.00 less for what we got.

Overall biggest complaint--when management allows other guests to disrupt the peace for everyone, just to make a buck.

We stayed at Super 8, Canon City, CO two nights in June, '07. The motel is older, but the room was very clean. I found the desk clerk to be a little unfriendly. We requested a non-smoking room . They put the smokers across the hall from us and one of them left his door open so the smoke would drift out into the hall. We had to stuff a towel under our motel room door to keep the smoke out. Children were running through the halls making a lot of noise. One of the other travelers complained, but still saw no changes. Management did not seem interested in these problems. If you must have a room for the night this will do. It was clean and inexpensive. Had a refrigerator, microwave & coffee maker in the room. But, if you want more than a bed and shower, you possibly may want to look elsewhere.
