“Quiet but rooms very small”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 September 2010

We spent a recent night here. The place was OK, but the room was small and underfurnished. There were only two straighback chairs and a small table, in addition to the beds, bedside table and TV cabinet. Despite the small size of the room, there was a space available that could have been used for a small sofa, or something else more comfortable for sitting. One good thing was the quiet atmosphere. We heard very little noise from the hallway or adjacent rooms. In-room literature touts a free paper, but there was no paper in sight in the room or the lobby. The price was high for the amenities, but this town is in the middle of nowhere and is a stopping point for people travelling I-70. Considering the small number of choices, this one is probably the best available.

“Good choice for an overnight stop or a few days.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 March 2010

Overnighted before sporting event in Goodland KS. Winter storm travel conditions. Friend preferred to stay here when in the area on business trips, and liked what I saw in previous reviews. No elevator but requested ground floor preference (online) and got it. Just an overnight stop before heading on to Goodland the next morning. Friendly staff, and facility was clean. Spent time on internet (which was satisfactory) and did not utilize any other of the facilities.

Bed was nicer than we expected. Workspace adequate. King bed room just seemed a little cramped for two people but really could not complain. Had hot water/pressure for a shower when large group of weekend travelers were up and about.

Bathroom lacked any vanity space around the sink, a problem the designer tried to overcome by including a shallow depth aluminum shelf under the mirror. The ladies with all their hardware won't appriciate this situation.

Door to hallway was well sound-proofed. But at 6am the next morning a family with noisy kids in the room above us prepared to depart. Did not hear anything from them (or any other neighbors) during the previous evening or all night, but you would have thought they were remodeling upstairs that morning.

Breakfast was OK. Biscuts and gravy appreciated on such a cold, windy day. Waffle griddles were in big demand from the weekend crowd of traveling families.

This is a place we will note to return to if the need arises.

“Just okay.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 December 2009

This place was okay. I was a little disappointed, though. We had a room with two queens. The room was very small. One of the comforters had something that looked like dried snot on it. I don't see how someone making the bed wouldn't notice it (and clean it up). They have those half-size pillows, which I hate. The bathroom seemed a little run down. But it was clean enough for us to stay and shower in the morning. They have a decent breakfast bar, which made me feel better about the rate we'd paid for a mediocre room. They have easy check-out--just call the front desk to say you're leaving and leave your keys in the room. It's okay, but for $90 (plus tax), I expect more.

We were traveling cross country with our cat to move. We stayed here because we were too tired to keep driving. We sprang the extra 25 for the king room with the jacuzzi. WOW!! Definitely not a mistake. Room was huge. Jacuzzi was awesome.
Internet was awesome, room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was very nice and accommodating.
Did not eat breakfast but would definitely stay here again.

Everything about this place is nice. Everything was very clean. The staff was friendly and nice. The beds were the softest, cleanest beds my husband and I have ever slept in at any hotel.
