“Welcome Refuge”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

We were here on less than pleasant business; a family member's funeral. However coming to this refuge at the end of the day eased the stress and provided some peace. When staff realized why we were staying in the area, they arranged a very early check in for us. The lobby is beautifully decorated with cozy seating arrangements, a nice central fireplace, and a view of the mountains. Our rooms were large and well appointed, again with views of the mountains. Room included a large sitting area, desk, fridge, coffee maker, Aveda products, and strategically located swivel screen TV (sitting area or bed). The Sunday breakfast buffet was very good and reasonably priced. Bar staff were friendly and had a good wine selection. Also available was a quick coffee stand for Starbucks coffee, scones, juice, etc. Front desk, bar and restaurant were all very efficient. While we didn't use the pool, I heard from several young women in the elevator that it was great. The hotel is in easy walking distance of several restaurants and a mall. I highly recommend the nearby Indian restaurant Azitra.

Room Tip: Ask for a view of the mountains.

“Meeting Planner's Dream”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

I simply cannot give enough praise to the Renaissance Flatiron team for their excellent service from planning to the conclusion of my event. My sales manager was always responsive (almost immediate) and when she was out of the office, she notified me and gave me an alternate contact who was equally responsive and knowledgeable about my event. Making and changing sleeping room reservations was a breeze. My contact for the rooming list was responsive and made changes almost as fast as I could give them to her with not one complaint about the number of changes. When I arrived at the hotel, the whole team came down to greet me and walk down the meeting space. I was introduced to my banquet manager who was a jewel. She was always accessible and made sure everything went smoothly. The food was excellent and always ready at the specified time. The banquet staff ensured the tables were cleared of empty plates, glasses, etc and kept the room pristine. We had two attendees with food alergies and the chef met with them to ensure that they would know what to avoid and even made a special plate for one of them. The audio visual and room set up were perfect along with the room temperature (hard to believe that we weren't freezing) and lighting. There were 54 in my group and I did not receive one single complaint (which is amazing because they are not shy about letting me know what is not working).

The sleeping rooms were clean, spacious and very comfortable. Location was also great. Not too far from the Denver Airport, close to Boulder and really close to some good shopping.

I would definately use this facility again without hesitation!

Room Tip: Odd number rooms are mountain view.

“Above average room, for a good price.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

We were greated by hotel staff that opened the doors for us, but did not assist us in carrying our luggage, even when it was obvious that our hands were full. Check in was easy and fast, very polite staff. We stayed in room 512, a two room, king suite. I would say I was disappointed in the size of the room. I was expecting a larger room, but not a huge issue. The bathroom door had handprints all over the back of it, making me wonder how clean the room really was. Also, there was hair stuck to the bottom of the shower curtain, making me wonder if it had been cleaned. Other than that everything else appeared clean. We needed additional blankets and the hotel staff made sure they were in our room when we returned. The location was the best part, we were within walking distance to several good eating places and across the street from the mall. There was also a near by Wal-Mart. The gym and indoor pool looked nice, but we didn't use them during our stay. We did use the outdoor hot tub. I would say for the hot tub being outdoors, during the winter, in Colorado it could be a little bit warmer. It was filled with warm water, barely warm enough. The jets were too powerful, it would blast water off your back and was very annoying. We paid $99.95/night for our room. For that price it was a good deal. That being said the rooms were not luxurious and I probably wouldn't pay much more than that to stay there again. Also, they nickel and dime you for everything, $7.00 for a pot of coffee, I think not.

“Great Place to Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2011

I stayed here with my boyfriend for 3 nights while we were in town looking for places to live. While here, our stay was great. The room was clean and well cared for, and the lobby was fantastic. We had no issues going to the lobby to connect to the hotel wireless. In fact, once we got to the lobby we ended up doing a lot of work there looking at places online that we wanted to visit. The ambiance in the lobby was great and casual during the day. The great thing with the internet was that we'd get an ID code to use for the internet in our room if we didn't feel like staying in the lobby. The internet was not a hindrance for us at all. The breakfast we had was good (my boyfriend loves Eggs Benedict, and he was able to get it), and I was a fan of having coffee close by on the frigid December mornings.

There were several holiday parties at the hotel over the weekend we were staying, but we didn't have issues with parking or noise. We appreciated the doorman helping us with the door (even when we chose the turnstyle instead). All in all, this was an excellent hotel that we enjoyed very much.

Room Tip: West facing room gets you a view of the mountains.

“Great location for visiting Boulder!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 December 2011

Just got back from a night at the Renaissance Boulder Flatiron Hotel. This is probably our 3rd or 4th stay, as we book this hotel frequently, when we want to do some shopping or visit Boulder. It's just a quick 15 minute ride over to Boulder, but you don't have all the congestion. The Flatiron Crossing mall is about 1-2 minutes via car and has many great restaurants. The lobby/bar of the hotel is very Colorado with a huge fireplace, lots of stone, and wood decor. The rooms are all-suite and have plenty of room including a pull out sofa couch if needed. We noticed they just upgraded to flatscreen TV's with HD, so that is a nice option. The beds are very comfortable with soft sheets and lots of pillows. If I had any complaint I would say the housekeeping staff isn't on top of things quite as well as they should be. We do seem to find a thing or two each time we stay, but they are very minor housekeeping items and don't prevent us from coming back. Hotel staff were always friendly. They have a starbucks coffee stand in the lobby and the staff there was incredibly friendly in the morning and made great Mocha's. I would highly recommend this hotel as a great place to stay for any Boulder adventure or shopping excursion.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a mountain view.

Thank you also for alerting us to your minor housekeeping concerns and they have been shared with the appropriate departments.
