We just returned from a week's stay at The Double Eagle and loved it. It is in the perfect location. The four o'clock ski run goes right by the back door and the ski lift is one block up. We were able to walk to everything in town and didn't use our truck the entire week. I understand that the complex (it's 2 small buildings, probably 20 units total) was recently renovated and it is quite nice. Some of the pictures I saw from before the renovation made it look very 1970's and I was pleasantly surprised by what they did to the outside of the building. Very clean and ski-appropriate. The unit we stayed in was a 3 bedroom and and it looked out over the hot tub and ski run. It looked to have just been updated and was super clean and comfortable. There was a gas grill on the patio and the kitchen was well appointed for making meals at home. Each condo is individually owned so they all differ slightly. I peaked my head into the unit next door and it looked a bit dated (paneling on the walls) so make sure you get pictures of your actual condo before you book. We used VRBO.com which worked out well since you can communicate directly with the owner and can typically negotiate a better deal. Bring slippers if you plan to use the hot tub since you might have to walk through some snow back to your room. Overall, this was the nicest place we've stayed in Breckenridge (our 5th stay).

This was the last of many stays at Double Eagle & it was just as amazing as always. We stayed in a lovely room on the 2nd floor overlooking peak 8. It had three bed rooms (one with two beds), a nice sized kitchen, and spacious living room and dining area. We loved the mountain decor, pictures on the walls, and the fact there was a washer/dryer down the hall. Great location ( a little less that half way up 4:00 Rd) with a little creek in the back. Very close to ski lifts and beautiful hiking in the summer. This is our favorite place in Breck. , and will definitely stay here again.
