“Great location in Breck”

We stayed in room #308. It was a nice clean condo with two bedrooms, two baths and a pullout couch. Nicely decorated, nice full kitchen with a water-dispensing fridge and clean bathrooms. The biggest complaint from our group of 6 was the beds were just not comfortable. When adjusting to the altitude and after being sore from boarding the last thing you need is a rock hard bed to sleep on. Aside from that, the place was very nice. Wonderful hot tub on the deck upstairs. Nothing beats sitting in a hot tub outside when it's snowing. The two bathrooms were a good size both with double sinks.

The living room area has an old school tv with limited seating for 5 but the kitchen table has room for 6.

Location is just off of Main Street near all the food and shopping.
For breakfast, you definitely should check out Cool River Coffee House. Great food and friendly service.

“Great Place to Stay”

We stayed a few days during the "Mud Season" so besides a few owners we were the only ones there. We had to call maintenance one time and he was very prompt.
He also took the time to give us some advice on things to see.
We found the condo in very good condition esp. for one that is rented out. It is located right off Main Street so it is very convenient to shopping and restaurants
We stayed in condo number 309.

There's not much more to be said than has been said already.

The location is excellent. The review below this one complains about the fact that it is not Ski-in ski-out. Well, no it's not but it's not advertised anywhere as such and a quick look on Google maps and Streetview would confirm that. However It was literally 4 minutes walk for us in ski-boots from the front door of the property (which you do have to walk down 7 steps to get to the pavement) to get to to the Quicksilver chairlift using the route taken by the review below. There is a ski hire shop in the building on the ground floor level but we used Blue River which was just a few yards further away under the Steirmark condos (small discount from GW Lodging, 5th day free and low tax plus great service!) The top of Main Street is about 3 minutes walk away and the grocery & Liquor store on Ridge street (rather expensive so use City Market if you have transport) is 5 minutes walk away. Loads of restaurants within 1-10 minutes walk.

You get a key to a ski locker in the basement but it was rather cold so only left our skis there not our boots. The condo was clean and well equipped but would struggle to accomodate 6 adults comfortably but was fine for the four of us (Husband, myself and two older teens) There were only 4 mugs though, the lounge seating was barely adequate for 4 (1 sofa plus 1 chair) and the sofa was showing its age and threadbare in places. The master bedroom had a comfy bed with large ensuite (jacuzzi tub and separate shower) off. This was upstairs, as was the small deck and hut tub which was hot and clean!

The 2nd bedroom was downstairs off the living area. This had 2 twin beds, ideal for our teenagers but the room was very small so could see why most owners of other units had a double in there instead of twins. The 2nd bathroom was not en-suite but next to the bedroom and had a bathtub with shower over. There were hairdryers in both bathrooms and humidifiers provided.

There were tvs in both bedrooms and above the fireplace in the living room but this one was quite old fashioned, would have expected to see a flat-screeen in this day and age.

The kitchen was very well equipped and the only thing I noted that wasn't supplied (apart from enough mugs!) was scissors and the fridge water chiller didn't seeem to work but it was no big deal.

Try as we might we coudn't seem to get the heating at the right temperature! We reported it but it seems to be a common problem and was usually far too hot for our liking!

The condo faced west towards the mountains and away from Main street so if you want to avoid potential noise opt for a west facing condo x01, x02, x03, x04 for example but if you need help or advice, contact GWL directly, they were very helpful and prompt at returning emails.

Finally a word about check-in/out. You have to go their office at the far end of Main street for this. If you arrive after office is closed there is a pick-up box outside but you have to return the next morning to check-in properly and pick up extra keys and it's about 15 minutes walk from Park Ave lofts if you don't have a car (or longer if you're not used to the altitude!) Check out is 10am and again you have to take the keys back to the office (but go to the the Donut place opposite for a very nice breakfast!) If you want a late checkout it'll cost you half a days rental. There is a garage underneath the lofts for parking and you get a parking permit but it's rather a narrow and steep entrance that turns sharply right after the entry barrier towards the door so do take care especially if you have a large vehicle.

In summary, a great trip and would stay there again, no hesitation!

PPS If you're coming from the UK and arranging the trip independently we found Ski American Classics the best for cut price lift tickets.

We stayed in unit 307 at the Park Avenues loft during a ski trip to Breckenridge. The unit is nicely done with a kitchen, living room, bedroom on the first floor and a outdoor hot tub and master bedroom upstairs on the second floor. Seemed to have enough room for our group of six (includes two kids). Bedrooms were both on the small side though.

The building is located across the street from peak 9 and the Quick Silver lift. This location is fine for adults who can carry their skis/poles while wearing ski boots and do the walk from the basement level of the building (this is where the ski storage area for each of the units is located) up the elevator, out the lobby, down the front stairs, up the block, across the street, up a small but long ramp, through the Maggie (restaurant / lodge at the base) to the lift. This walk is not meant for little kids.

I think next time we will stay at one of the ski in / ski out properties. Much easier and less tiring with children (and for some of the adults).

Park Avenue Lofts #307 was everything a couple on a weekend getaway could ask for! Since I am born and raised in Houston, Texas, I have never been around snow. I wanted to have the best experience possible in Colorado and i have to say Park Avenue Lofts had a hand in delivering this experience! The office was obliging and welcoming when we arrived for check in. They provide an underground parking garage and ski locker for storing the ski gear. There was elevators and luggage rollers available for lots of luggage. The most accomadating and convenient place to enjoy a stress free vacation! The room was spacious, clean, cozy, and in the best location! The fireplace was so warm and inviting. The master bedroom is upstairs along with the private hot tub. The hot tub was amazing! So private and gives the view of the town with lights at night. The tub was clean and had massage jets in the corners, that was so relaxing after a day of skiing! From the room windows you have a fantastic view of the town and are in immediate walking distance to Main street to enjoy dining, shops and pubs. You can grab your ski's and walk right over to the ski lift as well! That was amazing. We truly wish we could have stayed longer. There really is not a least enjoyed comment i could make, other than this condo was a two bedroom two bath and we only needed a one bedroom one bath. The hot tub was a must, so that is why we took the two bedroom anyway! =) We were amazed at how easy everything was in getting around and even our ski rental place was in walking distance when we needed to return them before flying back. Wonderful, just a wonderful place. Thank you Park Avenue Lofts for a fantastic experience in Colorado!
