“Overpriced... But could be worthwhile with better customer service from manager. Some really great things though: long review.. ”

I think the condo was up to date, average toiletries, lovely decor.
Of course the amazing convenience of ski in / ski out is great.
Overpriced because it is not more impressive or clean or spacious than mountain thunder lodge but it is at least three times more expensive.
Beautiful pool area. Wow with the view from all sides and really great valet/ bell hop. Loved the bowling alley.
I loved how wonderfully my " day only" guests were treated!!
Valet offered to them and I know they felt special and welcomed even though they only came up to ski for they day.
My son arrived hours before me to check in and he was also warmly welcomed, given mini tour.

I had a concern about quality of cleanliness ( I'm picky with 5 star places) and was underwhelmed.
Large blood splat on wall in bedroom. Told supervisior when i found it and complained via survey after I left.
Response was disappointing. I know things can be missed, but this was right below a lightswitch.( looked like a a nose bleed that was sprayed all over the wall. How many times did I or my daughter touch that???
I did not post my thoughts about this until I got a response from management. I felt my concern was treated very poorly/ trivial email with ad for website.
Also, I do expect glassware to be WASHED.
I saw the housekeeper " wipe" the bathroom glassware with a rag and place it back on the counter.
I also mentioned this via survey and was told they use " clean rags" from manager via email.
Really? How about soap and water? Dishwasher?

I will choose another place next time simply due to the manager's lame response. To the manager:
Just admit when you are wrong, don't be defensive. It's just annoying when a customer takes time to inform you of a problem.

Thank you so much for your comments and we appreciate your honesty. I would like to personally apologize for the problems you experienced with cleanliness of your unit at One Ski Hill Place. To the best of our knowledge this is an isolated event and certainly not the type of experience that we wish any of our guests to have. We treat feedback like this with the utmost seriousness and have conducted a thorough investigation into what happened. We have a two step process of cleaning and inspecting the units, either one which should have identified the mark. In regards to the glassware, it is our standard that we run all kitchenware through the dishwasher and we have taken several steps to address the breakdown in this procedure. I sincerely apologize again for the problems you experienced and I hope to have the opportunity to speak to you personally in the near future.

“Best hotel out there!!!!!”

I've been to the ritz carlton, the four seasons, the hyatt etc. Of all these this was the best...... by far!!!!! I booked this via jetsetter, which is where i book almost all hotels i stay in. I thought The price was a little on the high side at first, but it was worth it when i went. The service there was exceptional. The staff was very courteous and friendly. In fact, the soap in the bathroom was shaped like a rock because the hotel was a rockresort. It even had a private bowling alley just for your family. It was gold mine themed. There is also a media room with a wii, a kitchen in the back for making popcorn etc, and there was a variety of dvds to choose from that are all free. We got a condo, which included a washing machine and dryer and a fully stocked kitchen which included cutlery, bowls etc. The location was perfect. It was ski-in ski-out. The beds were comfortable, and the room was extremely clean. Worth the money!!

“Fabulous ski-in, ski-out even when there is no snow”

The view of the snow board park is awesome. The view of the mountains would have been great however if you overlook the ski mountain you can be entertained all morning long without leaving the room. We were in a 2 bedroom suite and it was spacious for a family of 5. The kitchen and appliances are top of the line. We cooked fish and because the condo was thoughtfully designed with an excellent ventilation system, not even a little scent of fish lingered. We could see the snow cats working for hours at night but they were not noisy or bothersome. Our condo was on the 3rd floor. The next time I am booking a room I will specifically request not to be anywhere near the pool. It was not this time but every time we went to the pool and outside jacuzzi I was very glad that our room was not near them. The pools are indoor and are supposed to be heated but they were pretty cold for heated pools. The private bowling, pool tables, and media rooms were great. Room service was great but ends early at 10:00 p.m. The pool and hot tubs also close early at 10:00 p.m. There is a local service that provides restaurant delivery. There is complimentary coffee in the lounge and it was very good coffee. The Living Room is a full service restaurant and espresso bar. On the last day we found out that the front desk has warm chocolate chip cookies everyday. They were delicious. A ski rental facility is so close it is almost connected to the hotel. We road the gondola that was also right at the end of the hotel property down to town and it was a gorgeous view and great ride. The hotel provides a shuttle service that will pick you up from anywhere in town within minutes. We road the gondola down and the shuttle picked us up, just be sure to carry the phone number for the service with you. The beds were comfortable and the linens were luxurious. The doors between the rooms and living room were solid so a person could be up in the kitchen and not bother the others that are still sleeping. The room cleaning service was immaculate. One day I walked in while they were still cleaning and a man was on his hands and knees with a tooth brush cleaning under the toilet. The staff was friendly and efficient. Everything we asked for was handled immediately.

Room Tip: The view of the snow board park is awesome. The view of the mountains would have been great however...

Thank you for your detailed review!

We received 27 inches of new snow last week and as of 1/26/12 76% of the mountain is open!

“Perfect place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

First off, I went here with little more then a few reviews to go from and little time. I booked this through Expedia with a great price and trusted the reviews. In a few words, they were spot on. What I liked most was the layed back but attentive attitude the resort offered. Everyone, from doorman to the hotel staff were helpful, but not in a sense that they were looking for a constant tip. They were very friendly and always helpful. I never heard a "no" during any conversation. I stayed with my son in a one bedroom and it suited our needs perfectly. If you have more then 2, I would look into a 2 bedroom. Although beautifully furnished, if the pull out couch in needed for another sleeper, this does intrude into much of the suite. All the appliances were Bosch, brand new, and perfect. The Pool, Hot Tub, and Sauna's were very nice and used often. Access to skiing was perfect. You simply can't get any better then this in Breckenridge. It actually takes you less then a minute to get on a lift and skiing. Ski locker were provided to leave all you equipment as soon as you enter and giving you the ability to walk to your room comfortable. When there, we skiied Breck, Keystone, and Vail. Going back, I would have no problem skiing Breck the whole vacation, especially if the top of the montain in open!

Room Tip: Don't worry about being slopeside or the front of the hotel. From this point you have just as b...

Beautiful resort with all the amenities. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The free valet service was so great - especially since the valet was willing to unload and reload our skis for us.The pools & hot tub were gorgeous and not crowded. Bed was super comfy, kitchen -beautiful, room - spacious. Location was perfect - just steps from the locker room to Lift 5, Ski School, Superchair and Gondola. Shuttle was quick and easy to get into town for dinner. We enjoyed watching the Broncos game in the Living Room restaurant and had a delicious breakfast there the next morning. Food was good; service was friendly.

Overall a great experience! We will go back!

Room Tip: The one bedroom has an extra room with a Murphy bed AND a pull-out couch in the living area AND anot...

Thank you sarahlovesphilly for the review!

I just want to clarify about your "Room Tip". It sounds like the unit you were in is actually a One Bedroom + Den unit. We have a limited number of these units and sometimes upgrade for no charge depending on occupancy. We also have One Bedroom Units with a larger Living Room that has a murphy bed & sofa sleeper in that area. Again we have a limited number of these type of units and there maybe additional fees for these units.

The vast majority of our One Bedroom units are going to have a separate Master Bedroom from the Living Room/Kitchen area and two bathrooms. Every unit currently has a full size sleeper sofa in the Living Room as well.

Thanks,
Chris
