“bad management”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

people found this review helpful

One bedroom condo:
when we arrived, dust everywhere (tables, chests of drawers, etc),
probably hadn't been dusted for weeks. Carpet needed vacuuming,
tile floors need sweeping. There was no hairdryer and the first
one they brought was obviously broken. The bedding for the
sofa bed was wadded up, obviously been used before. There was
only a single little bottle of shampoo (for two people for a
week's stay). They clean only mid-week. When they did, they
did not vacuum or sweep. All of these problems necesitated
one or more phone calls to get them fixed.

The bed was like a hammock, and the sofa bed mattress very
thin. One afternoon, the hot water was only warm. The toilet
needed literally a couple minutes to flush.

The only good things about this place are that its reasonably
large and does have a full kitchen. It is also only steps to
the quicksilver lift.

I'm so sorry to hear about the trouble you experienced while staying at the Village at Breckenridge. We have several Property Management companies who manage units here, but I can say that I have shared your feedback with our housekeeping staff and will conduct extra training and inspections looking for the items that you mentioned. I feel confident that this will be corrected, and not an issue moving forward.

“Great location, huge hotel king rooms!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

The rooms were way better than expected. I had read mixed reviews, mostly on the average to below side, but was pleasantly surprised at the size of the room and comfort of the king size bed. The room was big enough to fit a king bed and a large sitting area on both sides of the bed The bathroom was small, but this did not bother us, as it was clean and decently fitted out (shower in the bath.) the toilet was in the bathrrom with the bath/shower. The vanity basin is outside the bathroom which is nice, as while my husband was showering, I could use the basin to do my makeup, brush teeth or get water to make a pot of coffee. The location of this hotel is perfect, close to Main St and a short walk to the slope, maybe 50 metres. The concierge was amazingly helpful, giving me assistance and advice with bookings of restaurants etc before I even left Asutralia. When I got there, they were equally as helpful with any of our requests. The breakfast in the Park Avenue Pub is a bit on the average to below side, so we got breakfast in Mian St each day instead. Overall, a great stay.

“Pricey but worth it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2012

Great location right on the slopes. Friendly staff, amenities fine, all very clean. Nothing to complain about except it's pricey, but you pay for location.

“If we forget the price, the studio suite is it”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2012

I stayed in the village for 4 nights, as the conference I was attending was also held there.
we had a discount rate, which still was the most expensive rate during my 3-week travel trough the States (which also includes some major cities).
When forgetting about the price, the studio room is actually quite ok. I found it convenient to prepare my own food and not going to dine out every day. Also the room is quite big, which is also convenient. I would stay here again, unless I would find a cheaper option nearby.

Room Tip: It all depends on your neighbours, first three nights I had no noise, the fourth night they played m...

“Great location and nice studio space”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2011

We spent 3 nights in a refurbished studio the week before Christmas and had a great view and very comfortably furnished unit. Although the bed was a double it was very comfortable for two (we are used to a queen) and the configuration of the unit made the space livable - a full kitchen, good living room area and bathroom with separate throne and shower rooms. We had checked on Trip Advisor and knew to ask for a recently refurbished room. A quick glimpse into the unit next door showed that we were wise to do so. The parking (included) under the building is quite convenient and you can almost ski in/ski out. (It's just a short walk to the Peak 9 chair).

Room Tip: Ask for a refurbished room - We had to wait a few hours (til the normal check in time) for one but i...
