Don't get me wrong - I enjoyed my stay at Boulder Outlook, and applaud the hoteliers' efforts to create a unique, very eco-friendly lodging destination and experience, but truth (as I see it) be told, to really pull it off they will need more capital, so as to be able to give the 60'/70's era buildings that make up the property the major refurbishment that they really need. The post modern paint job and other surface cosmetic touches beg for a more thoroughgoing overhaul.
A great touch, for example, is that the chair for lounging in my room is a recliner - the irony is that it is broken, and so, doesn't recline. The belgian waffle maker in the restaurant where the free breakfast is served is another great touch, and yet its timer wasn't working properly, and so, I had to guess at whether or not the required two and one half minutes to bake my waffle just right had passed.
My king bed was very comfortable, and the fitness room had the equipment I needed for my workout. Similarly, the indoor pool and hot tub were great. The best attributes of all were the friendly and helpful front desk clerk and the breat taking view of the sunrise striking the mountains right outside the hotel's front door. As such, I wish the money to totally redo the decor and the fixtures was in hand for these owners - as I know they would put it to good use.
