Boulder is usually a place we pass through on our way north from Denver on the way to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. This time, we actually stayed a night in Boulder to hang out on Pearl Street and see a few of the sites we hadn’t visited before including Celestial Seasonings, Leanin’ Tree, and the National Atmospheric Research Center. This hotel was located right on the highway and the location was fairly central. Since we were here on the evening of July 4, we followed the crowds and walked over the University of Boulder to watch the fireworks, which was nice. This seemed like an older hotel and while the room was acceptable, it wasn’t anything special, although it was the best price I could find for the holiday weekend. The freezer of the room’s small refrigerator didn’t seem to work very well as the ice tray didn’t freeze overnight. I would stay here again, but only after looking for something better. I hope visitors from abroad don't believe this is really America's best.....
