This is a fantastic and extremely comfortable ski hotel.
We stayed in a standard king room. The room was spacious and really well equipped. It came with fridge, tea/ coffee making, humidifier, ipod doc and even boot warmers for our ski boots, which was a really nice touch. There seemed to be good sound proofing, so we hardly heard our neighbours, and the room was really clean. The only downside (and this may sound silly) but the beds are stupidly high. I am just over 5ft and had to place a pile of cushions by the bed to climb on to it. Not a big issue but a bit odd.
The hotel staff were extremely helpful and efficient. Everyone we spoke to over our 11 day stay was brilliant, we didn't have one bad experience. The hotel also offered free tea and coffee on each floor in the morning, complimentary hot chocolate and warm cookies in the afternoon, free laundry machines and filtered water in the rooms which all made our stay more enjoyable.
In terms of location, the hotel is just outside central Beaver Creek, so it is either a 5 minute walk or a couople of minute shuttle ride to get to restaurants and shops. The hotel runs a shuttle which seemed to run on demand through out the day and evening. The walk is either along the road or ski way, both not lit at night and under snow, so bring a torch and snow boots if you plan to walk.
The hotel is decsribed as ski in / out. The ski way starts just outside the back door but it is a gentle up hill walk for the first 100m. The ski way takes you straight on to the Strawberry Chair. Skiing back was no issue and you could ski right to the door step of the hotel.
All in all it is a lovely hotel and I would stay again.
