“Do Not Stay Here!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 March 2011

Our family lives in Yuba City. We came from Oregon to attend a special event for our family. When we got to the room, we were amazed at it's condition. The ads say that this is a newly renovated establishment - this is not true! The pool looked terrible and there is no way a person would get into that hot tub! To top our visit off, we were placed next to a couple that woke us up at 2am and screamed at each other until after 5am - so, we paid to sleep? We had a long drive the next day on nearly no sleep. When we complained at checkout, we were told that they could do nothing for us! The clerk told us that they had gotten complaints all night, we heard the phone ringing to tell them to stop but nothing happened to stop the disturbance! We checked our credit card and sure enough - not one dime off to make it right! Yuba City is a beautiful little City with many other places to stay. Please, Please, Please do not stay here - go somewhere else and have a much better experience than we did. Our family comes from all over for many family events - they just shot themselves in the foot big time!

“Don't give this hotel a chance EVER!!!!!! EVER!!!!!! EVER!!!!!! HORRIBLE”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 June 2010

On the outside of this hotel it looks somewhat decent. Don't let that fool you. This is not a friendly family hotel. The staff are rude, filthy mouthed, unconsiderate, childish people. If I was the manager I would fire them all and try and find well mannered, happy, caring staff. The rooms are okay not like any of the other nice quality rooms you find at other Quaity Inn Hotels. There are spiders all over the place and the room was dirty. The walls around the mirror were disgusting. The bathroom had mold in it and the toilet didn't look clean. I was having problems with it flushing and by Sat night it was over flowing. I called the front desk to have someone come and fix it. The extremely rude girl at the front came over with a toilet plunger and told me to fix it myself. I was shocked. I couldn't fix it and they wouldn't help me anymore. I had my three small kids in the room and they had to go into the lobby all Sat evening to use the bathroom. Nice huh? I couldn't stand being there anymore that I left at 7:00 am. The family that was living there at the hotel full time had kids there that were running around the hotel late at night knocking on our door and other guests doors. They were extremely loud too. The staff took their smoking breaks right next to the doorway entrance into the lobby. They seemed to be there all the time. As for not being a smoker and using that walk way to the rooms it was not pleasant smelling their smoke and listening to their disgusting, swearing mouths. They were very unprofessional. When paying for you room by a credit card please use a diposable credit card like the kind you buy at Walmart or Target and make sure you have only the right amount for the room. They will charge your card after you check out for things that they feel is not cleanable like towels, bed sheets, and other things. This happened to some other friends that were staying there too. The so called resturant that they have there is scary. Not a clean place at all. There was a free breakfast there and the food was terrible. They had bagels that were harder then a rock. The cream cheese was set out there and not put on ice to keep it cool. It was warm and tasted sour. Their biscuits and gravy were tasteless. We decided to go into town for the rest of our meals. The place also was suppose to open at 6:00 am for service and that was not the case we waited for about 25 minutes for the girl to get there to open the place up. I DO NOT recommend this hotel to anyone and I will discourage anyone who is thinking about staying there. Go to the Days Inn right up the road. I know some friends that stayed there and LOVED IT!!!!! That is were my family and I will stay next year.

“Quaint, clean and a pleasent surprise.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 February 2010

We were going to a funeral, so the trip wasn't going to be fun. When we arrive to the hotel room we just wanted to get in, get the room and go. We walked in about 11pm and the manager welcomed us with open arms. We gave our reservation information and with a big smile he said "We were wondering where you were. We're glad you got in safely." He started to check us in and he asked about why we were staying and we mentioned the funeral and he apologized and said he would knock off $20.00 off our stay. We were very thankful. He gave us our keys and we wondered up to the room. We opened the room door and walked in to a very clean smell. We flipped the light on and we were amazed. It was so, so, so clean and nicely decorated. The microwave was a little older, but I wasn't crying over that. The one complaint I had was that the bathroom was really small, but was ok none the less.

“Better than the last stay by far”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 December 2009

We decided to come and see our family through the xmas holiday. We were a little discouraged as the last time we were here back in June the hotel was a bit run down and uninviting. We called the hotel again this time by mistake and was told they had a new general manager who was doing their best to make things better. We decided to try one more time and we are glad we did. The staff at the front dest was new but very friendly and accomodating, the cafe was much more cleaner in appearance and more inviting. It was also a real pleasure to be greeted by the new boss himself who took time out to joke with the kids and explain to us the new standards which he and his staff are hoping to have fully acheived in six to eight months. Our rooms were very clean, yet a bit dated but never the less 1st rate for a cleanliness standard. We highly recommend this hotel; the $67 price tag is worth the money paid, it easily a $80 stay.
