“If you are traveling to wine country on a budget, then this is the place for you”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 February 2011

The price may seem right, but ultimately you get what you pay for. The location was great for being able to walk everywhere in Yountville. The room, although large, was dark and not as well maintained as one would expect. There was evidence of mirrors being taken off of the bathroom door, but the door had never been sanded or painted. Although fairly clean, the TV table was covered with dust. There was very little ambience or character, and nothing that would make you boast of a romantic setting. The room had a king sized bed, two dressers flanking the bed, four chairs and a flat screen TV. There was no in room refrig, microwave or coffee maker. The bathroom was narrow and the closet was actually in the bathroom. Basic accomidations.

“Great Location and Delicious Breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 February 2011

A great value in a pricey city. Lots of tasting rooms and world class restaurants are within easy strolling distance

“Beware of charges!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 December 2010

Wonderful location. greqat breakfast. room was dark but adequate. two issues. the person who checked us in in the late afternoon, exactly when we said we would be checking in, seemed angry with the world; just ignore her as her mood seems to be better in the mornings. the real problem:? the amount we were charged was higher than what was quoteed (including tax). I did not realize this until I got home, and my REPEATED efforts via email to find out why the charges were higher have been completely ignored. So if you stay here, be certain that your charge matches your quote!

“We will be back!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 October 2010

Our first stay at a B&B went beyond our expectations. We had heard a lot of stories about how awkward B&B's can be, but we decided to try one anyway. For starters, the room was bigger than we expected. We were in Chablis with a decent sized bathroom, a large shower and tub, and a baclony off the front and the back where we enjoyed some of our wine purchase from the day. The location was ideal in the town of Yountville (everything was walking distance) and in the Napa Valley itself (accessible to Rt 29 and Silverado Trail). The breakfast provided more food than needed and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. Jean was very helpful in suggesting a reasonably priced shipping store to ship all of our wine purchases.

“good value, for the area”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 October 2010

Actually the room at this B&B was pretty nice. Booked the one with the French armoire specially. We were really only in the area for the French Laundry, and Bordeaux House is right next door. Really you can walk anywhere you need to go in the village though. The owner was happy to help and answer any questions we had. Some of the cooked breakfasts were better than others, but there's plenty of choice available. Didn't get to try the hot tub out, but did take advantage of complimentary sherry and brandy in the evenings.
