What a little gem of a place. It's quiet, peaceful and full of delightful surprises that made our stay completely relaxing. We just wish we could have stayed longer. Innkeepers Earl and Christy are hospitable and friendly. The Meadowood cottage was spacious, with a living room, dining room, full kitchen and two bedrooms, and many other amenities. Everything was spotlessly clean. The refrigerator and cabinets were stocked with goodies, including fresh roast coffee beans and a grinder so that we could make delicious coffee each morning. The master bedroom had a whirlpool tub and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Each morning Earl delivered a delicious breakfast to us, including fresh squeezed juice, fresh fruit, and a hot main course. We loved the oven-baked omelettes. From the back porch of the cottage we had a wonderful view of mountains and hills, and watched the horses in the neighbour's pasture. Each morning a flock of quail and a few deer wandered right up to the cottage. Yes, it's off the beaten path. But it's certainly worth the trip.
