“Great value”

Simple, close to shops and restaurants. Clean. Decor is lacking but overall happy with our stay. Really friendly and helpful staff.

“We'll be back!!!”

The Westport Inn is truly a gem. Perhaps one of northern California's best kept secrets. The word that comes to mind is quaint. Though we were there in the off season, the inn was still adorned with interesting succulents & grounds were nicely landscaped. The rooms are separate from the main house, giving you a little more privacy. My 14 year old daughter & I stayed here for 2 weeks. We stayed in Room #6, which was quite nice. The room was clean and spacious, had a microwave and small refrigerator.
I liked that I could see the ocean from the window. I especially enjoyed owner/innkeeper Otto, he couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating, with fresh coffee always available, jars of homemade cookies, and his delicious jams as you sit in the family style dining room. He also makes wonderful hot chocolate and lattes!!
He gave us a descriptive history of the area and. ideas on things to do. Maps and brochures are available .
We hope to return again next year to continue exploring such a beautiful area.

“Quaint and charming - hospitality as it should be.”

While driving down the west coast we stopped at this small inn at Westport because it advertised they had coffee. Upon entering we were greeted warmly by an older gentleman in his living room watching the news, as he busied himself preparing coffee for us all and offering up a jar of homemade cookies we looked around at a lifetimes collection of nik-naks and memorabilia. We got a brief history of the man's family and Westport, this all made for short but memorable stop.

“Fantastic place with soul!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 February 2008

We were driving Highway one, just crossed the board from Oregon to California. Then a little village, Westport popped up with a population of 250. A motel (westport Inn) on the right side and a supermarked/postoffice/fuel (in one little house) on the left side. On the right side we there is this beatiful beach were we sat, drinking wine and watched the sunset. This motel owns by a family. They were so helpful and nice people. Cheap hotel included breakfast. The breakfast was not spectakular, but enough for us uncritical norwegians...toast, jam & coffee. The breakfast found place in grandpa's livingroom. He fixed the food and were so happy for us. The rooms had 2 queensize beds. Not big but very clean and fresh flowers. Not modern, but this place really had soul!!! I loved it!!!

After we left some of us forget our wallet. We didnt noticed after 2 hours driving south, so we had to go back for it. They had allready taking care of it and we got it back with everything. Nothing missing! Thank you thank you!!!
