“Romantic rooms with fireplace and golf next door....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

Can't beat a romantic room with a fireplace in the evening, and golf in the morning. The hotel is a bit confusing in layout, took a little while to actually find the room, but once in, it was quite luxurious, romantic and nicely appointed. Quite a few restaurants in the area to choose from to. So very little negative, huge upside. And there's this nightclub whic h has a very diverse crowd. Alot of what they call "cougars", and some just legal kids wanting to dance and see what being an adult is all about.

“Customer service rocks”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

I officiated a wedding here two days ago, and stayed for 4 days total. Although the ambience is extremely Ornate (not my personal fave), the beds and pillows were AMAZING. Customer service is at it's best here in every way imaginable. I lost my hot water before an important event and was upgraded to the Bridal Suite, which in itself was not only a wonderful contrast to the previous room (which really was great) but it allowed my husband and I to stay in our first ever bridal suite in our 16 years of marriage. Lovely grounds, something for everyone. I would have appreciated somebody asking me if I'd like a bev, while working by the pool, but I accept this as extreme busy-ness. They were swamped. The wedding coordinator could have been a bit more "fuzzy" if you know what I mean, and the vendor meals at the reception were absolutely awful unfortunately, but the guest meals were very good. All in all, a positive experience.

Room Tip: Bridal Suite 201 amazing

“I love it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

The rates are amazing for the experience you get. I am a local wedding photography and shoot at the Inn a lot but I also enjoy staying at the Inn with my husband for a quick get away and it's just heaven on earth. It's clean (even the remote controls are sanitized!), it's beautifully appointed, peaceful and everyone on staff is very friendly. The location is also great because you don't have to leave the property to have a wonderful time.

Room Tip: All rooms are good rooms. They all have balconies or patios and beautiful views.

“Hotel Room Nice but THE NOISE Is Too Much!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

It looks like the rooms have been updated a bit from what some reviewers have said. I had a nice courtyard room with a nice balcony with a table set. The bedding was of similar quality to Marriott (including thread count). The carpet is very nice and the furniture is in good shape. The bathroom is small but perfectly fine with a really cool shaped sink.

My issue -- and it's a HUGE one -- is the noise. The units open from the outside (it's more of a lodge than a hotel, divided up into several buildings. The outside is spanish tile. Kids running on it sound like a herd of wild elephants. The staff, cleaning rooms, open and slam doors and it resonates like thunderclap through the rooms. It was like staying at this cheap 2 star motel in SoBe we used to stay at when I was younger and didn't have any dough. People walking up the stairs will make you think the king has returned, with a small legion in tow. It's just so awful! My team from work is staying with me this week (I'm here now) but as soon as this week is up, my future stays (I'm coming back 4 more times in the next 2 months) will be elsewhere. I can't deal with the noise. A shame: the grounds are very very nice. One thing I won't miss: the cold to indifferent staff.

Oh, there is NOT an elevator in the lodges. I confirmed it with a staff member upon check in. I had to carry my entire suitcase and laptop bag up 2 flights of stairs to get to my room.
When I made an annoyed remark about that, I got ye olde eye roll from a staff member. Maybe they're not indifferent after all. LOL!

Room Tip: Seek out another hotel.

“Perfect suite”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 January 2012

I had the Money suite and it served as a perfect base for entertaining around my son's wedding. Wraparound patios overlooking the ponds (we had egrets visit) and golf course had a heater, chaises, big table and entertaining sideboard...it was perfect for a post-wedding brunch. The room has its idiosyncrasies (the wetbar didn't have a sink!, there were no doors between the bedroom and the living room, the tub was a standard tub for one person but with jets, etc.) but it was well appointed and the fireplace was welcome in December. NOTE: no matter what the office says, there is no pullout bed. We were told there was one. They did offer a roll away at no additional cost.
