We stayed at Palihouse because of the location and because we'd have a kitchenette. Palihouse is geared more to longer term guests, which they told us upfront, but it did not affect the enjoyment we got from staying at the hotel. The food at the restaurant is amazing, the wait staff is outstanding, ask for Jonathan, he is the best.
The hotel was very quiet and it felt like we have our own little apartment in WeHo. While other people have complained about it being noisy, we took a nap almost every afternoon before going to a late dinner, and the noise never woke us up. We were on the second floor right above the courtyard, as well.
As far as the room in concerned, it was everything we needed. We had a space to eat breakfast each morning, a place to store groceries, even a stovetop to heat up water for tea or cook some small meals. There were plates, utensils, and a bottle opener. The shower was incredible, perhaps my favorite thing about the room. It was very large and the water pressure was excellent.
Overall I would completely recommend this place. I don't know that I would recommend it for a family or an older couple, otherwise, I feel everyone would have a great experience.
The rooftop area has beautiful views of the Hollywood Hills. We went up there a couple night after coming in from hitting the town.
