I spent two nights at the Holiday Inn express in Watsonville. It was very clean and the staff were very helpful. I will return on my next business trip.

Thick, firm, cheap foam pillows are below the quality usually provided at HIE properties. A request for a feather or other alternative pillow was promptly addressed - with the delivery of yet another thick, firm, cheap foam one. But the property, rooms, and breakfast area were clean and well attended, and the property & staff fine overall.

The staff are what make this perfectly situated property worth the stay. My extremely late check-in made no difference to the enthusiastic clerk who gave me gold level service despite my no-level status complete with a bag of complimentary snacks! The hotel is right off the route 1 exit and across the street from the nicest supermarket in town as well as a block from the best shopping center and all the best restaurants in this small coastal California farming community. If you have to stay in Watsonville, there is simply not any alternative! I recommend it highly!

After taking a look around the town hotels I decided to stay here glad I did! Clean rooms,mine had a living room,nice pancake breakfast with bacon,inside of hotel looks newish.Housekeeping didn't service my room because I didn't request it but they did give me fresh towels.Front staff was friendly to help me get directions as I was unfamiliar to the area.The lobby was decorated for Christmas for a warm feel. I wasn't looking forward to traveling this time of year without my family.Would definitely return.
