A good motel for value, IF you don't plan to sleep! The proximity to I-680 freeway destroys any sense of calm! I heard every truck rolling by like it was in the room. No fault of the owners, nothing they can do but move the whole motel. Too bad, nice staff.

The lobby is warm and welcoming. When I went to room, it was unique. Bed was comfortable. there was little bit traffic from the highway, but was manageable. The location was convenient from the highway, and there are many restaurants nearby. I will recommend this nice motel to anybody.

I booked this motel after reading reviews on TripAdvisor and because I like to stay in more "boutique" properties. I also liked the fact that one can easily walk to downtown Walnut Creek for dining and shopping. I was surprised at the high volume of freeway noise, especially since it sits below the freeway and noise usually rises. A couple of rooms I saw looked tired but ours was fine. It was clean with a comfortable bed. The lighting was poor--there were only 2 lights in the room. The room had a desk with no light so it was useless. It was nice they provided a refrigerator and microwave. The breakfast was fresh and adequate. I expected to enjoy the place more than I did.

This was our second stay at this charming small motel and the warm and friendly service along with the great value and good location brought us back.
