I booked this room based off the high rating at tripadvisor.com. The rating was OFF. Way OFF! The hotel was filthy and nothing like described in the reviews. I will not stay at this hotel again. I left the next day and stayed at the Best Western. It was a little more expensive but definitely worth it.

STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK!

We stayed at the Sandy Beach Rd. Motel 6 on Sept. 19, 2004. It served its purpose of providing a place to sleep, but that's about it. The only restaurant we could find nearby was McDonalds. The street the motel is on is rather busy, even at night, which we could hear some noise from. Although it was probably just our room, the tub seemed to be leaky and the floor next to the bed was damp. We had been in Vallejo to visit 6 Flags, and next time I'd rather stay in a hotel closer to the park (better area, more restaurants).

This is a cheap place to stay, I will give them that. I have stayed here 6 times in the last 2 months for 3 days at a time. The rooms are not clean, Some of them have a terrible odor that they can not get out. There must be a shortage of towels because they don't even put them is some rooms. They tell you they will bring you something right away and I figure after 3 days they must has been kidding me. Only some of the TV's have enough volumn control that you can actually hear the TV. The bathrooms are the worst I have ever seen in a chain motel. I am checking out tomorrow. This will be my last stay at this motel.
