I did not realized how far it was from the park. I did not do my research well. Looking on the map seems real close, but very deceiving. So instead of spending 3 days in the park, we went for one day only. There is a beautiful lake nearby where we spent the day on the beach in the woods. The restaurants in Twaine Hart are amazing. So really the B&B is pleasant enough and the breakfast I thought was out of this world. I am not a picky eater, but it was not average. One morning Stephanie made Italian eggs, which one has to try to believe. By the wine, the afternoon wine is the cheap stuff, so lower your expectations. But free wine ok? Can't complain.

I had stayed at the B&B one time before this about 3 years ago. I had expected great service like I had the time before, but this time they really went over the top for us. Stephanie not only is a master chef and an incredible host, but they have added a concierge service. We need reservations and the town seemed to be booked up everywhere we called. Beacuse of her steller reputation, Stephanie managed to get us into the restaurant we wanted at the time we requested and a complementry bottle of wine from the manager. We were wowed! I give this B&B the highest recomendation! Thank you McCaffrey's. You made our last trip of the summer the best.

We stayed here for two nights in June. This B&B is not located in the "town" of Twain Harte; it's about a 5-minute drive. It is off the highway that leads to Sonora Pass. There is a tree barrier and a service road between the house and the highway, so you don't really see or hear any traffic noise.

Our room was pleasant, clean and comfortable. The quilt on the bed was removed upon our arrival; the owner told us she had a bad experience with guests who didn't care properly for the quilts. So they're pretty to view in pictures only.

The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was immaculate. A nice touch was the local handmade soaps. The entire house is beautifully decorated with lots of interesting collectibles throughout. Individual rooms have Direct TV. The outdoor deck off our room was only large enough for the two chairs. We weren't sure how to access the other decks.

Breakfast was served at 9 a.m. to all guests. It included orange juice, an egg casserole dish, a warm danish, fruit, bacon ... and the next day was something similar. The portions were filling and tasty.

The owners have two dogs who are friendly and will greet you whenever you are in the common areas.

This is a good place to stay away from the crowds. There are several wonderful STATE parks to visit while in the area, in addition to Yosemite, which is about 75 minutes away. The town of Twain Harte was fun to visit with its small boutiques. The Italian restaurant in town was terrific.

This bed and breakfast is located in Twain Harte, a small, friendly town within commuting distance to Yosemite. It is one of the most charming inns we've stayed at in the ten years we've lodged at B&B's. The property is beautiful, the rooms are large, well-appointed, quiet and most importantly - CLEAN. Stephanie and Michael, the innkeepers, are wonderful hosts, and their breakfasts were delicious. They helped us with our daily itineraries, particularly for Yosemite. They have two well-behaved and friendly dogs who greeted us every day, and made us feel right at home. I am very particular about our lodging, and it is important factor to us as sightseeing. I do comprehensive searches for the best lodging within a reasonable radius of the sight we are touring. I ALWAYS look for industry ratings and reviews on an inn's website, then check Trip Advisor reviews for a common thread of measurable information. This inn was right on, and lived up to the 4 Diamond AAA rating, and all the 'excellent' ratings in Trip Advisor. Be prepared to relax, and enjoy your vacation at this inn. Stephanie and Michael will take care of the rest.
