Very comfortable, clean and in a good location. The owners were really friendly and offered good suggestions for restaurants, things to do, etc.. We would definitely return!

Our family of 2 adults and 2 kids stayed her for a weekend in the winter because it is near Dodge Ridge Ski Resort (half hour away) and winter fun. The hotel was nice and clean. They have log furniture decor. The room was basic - no refrigerator or microwave. It did have a cable TV and coffee pot. They do not have internet access (wireless or otherwise). They have a small swimming pool, which is outdoors and thus we didn't use in the winter. They have a hot tub, which was open, and we did use it. It is one block off the main street of Twain Harte with a few restaurants and shops. 7-11 is a half block away. We liked the hotel and would recommend it.

Very accomodating, pleasant service. Rooms and grounds well maintained. Just steps from village stores and restaurants.

The place is obviously well cared for. There were new sinks, faucets, furniture and toilet. The shower was old though and small. The beds were nice and firm. The owner was very nice and accomodating.

I'm not sure what the usual pattern is here but there was a large group of guests that had a party in the parking lot from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm. They were drinking and had kids, which wouldn't usually be a problem, but they were screamers. We had young children who we tried to put to bed at 8:30 pm but it was impossible with kids screaming just outside the door and pounding up and down the stairs continuously. We called the front desk and I guess they talked to the partiers because they retired to their room, where it was marginally better. It only became reasonably quieter when some locals at the party left a little after 10 pm. That was when our kids were able to sleep.

It's probably not that loud here usually but I'm not sure about that since previous reviewers mentioned that they come here regularly to visit friends or family. Also, they did quiet down around 11 pm so it shouldn't be a problem unless you like it quiet in the evening hours when you haven't yet gone to bed.
