Was told that there was only 1 room left on the quiet side of the building and it was $119 or I could have an $82 room on the freeway side. I asked why there were only 5 cars when I checked in at 7pm. And I was told he received prints outs from the reservation system, which he had dutifully entered into their local reservation system. I went for the quite side. When the alarm clock went off coincidently at 1200am, I looked outside and there were only 12 cars in the lot, The same number as at 6am when I got up to leave. There are around 50 rooms in front. I conclude that I paid an extra $37 based on a lie. Perhaps this is a policy for when the hotel is under booked?
There is a nicer hotel south of here where you can walk to shopping and restaurants and it is away from the freeway. We had to go there anyway for dinner.
